This is NOT my random cool trick. This is the work of someone else. I just have to fix it. The brand new truck is full of water. Imagine that! Both drain tubes for the roll up tonneau cover exit the bed through drilled holes, and then the hoses were stuffed right through the vents on the rear of the cab, and quickly fill the interior up with rain water.
I've never forgotten to put an oil cap back on, but I've seen the mess they can cause on some engines. If nothing else it will illuminate the check engine light. Placing the cap in the hood latch area prevents the hood from closing if you leave the cap there. If it drops any oil it falls on the hood latch. Since this probably could use a drop of oil, no harm is done
Another of those hands free tricks I hardly think about. Nice to have light where needed and two hands to work with. Every small flashlight should have a clip. (And have it secured so it won't fall off.)
