The you will really like this score 9,172 Italy. Yes as reported the above is caused by both socialism and the EU. Number of cases of COVID 19 due to an excess amount of Government Mismanagement in Italy.
Ummm... most of the issue is that Italy has a very large older population... much higher % than most places . average age of death from covid is 81 there. Its not a lack of good medical care... its More the enormous scale of of elderly high risk patients that are in the system. Also the government has very little control over how many people get it... unless they are going around spraying covid in peoples faces... its got more to do with how many people come into contact with other people who have it and how susceptible those people are etc... older population, higher susceptibility. Lockdown/quarantine is only so much help... dosent help those people that have already come in contact . Coronavirus: Italy has an aging population during outbreak - Business Insider
Don't suppose it would have anything to do with the EU's open border policy between member nations...
Well since the main cause was a large number of tourist visiting from China...which is not an EU country... No.
Having been to Italy very recently, I can confirm the numbers of Chinese visitors is overwhelming! Sad really, everywhere we went was wall to wall Chinese taking selfies, and over crowding every scene or event, they took up all the hotel rooms, all the restaurants, and were generally a pain in the ass, as there were like locusts, they were everywhere and into everything! Most of Europe was like that, but Italy was especially bad! And, this was not the height of tourist season ether, and we were there for business, and were not staying in a tourist area! We went to England to see the sights, they up to Scotland, and it was pretty much the same, even raining and nasty weather didn't keep the all the Chinese away! It was almost impossible to get a seat on any bus to go anywhere, and we had to wait three buses to get a spot! I was fucking PISSED OFF, 20 years I had waited to be able to actually SEE some of Europe, and all I saw was Chinese!
Weird, I live in Scotland and usually don't see that many Chinese/Asian tourist. Most of the ones I do see, live here. Recon’ they have just as much right to holiday/visit in other countries as the Americans.....
Quantity is of little concern, after all someone has to be a minority. Attitude is everything, starting with respecting the locals and their customs.
I'm sure when the dollar is strong and the local currency is weak, there are other nationalities complaining about the loud obnoxious americans.
"The Ugly American." The Ugly American is a 1958 political novel by Eugene Burdick and William Lederer that depicts the failures of the US diplomatic corps in Southeast Asia. The book caused a sensation in diplomatic circles and had major political implications. The Peace Corps was established during the Kennedy administration partly as a result of the book. The bestseller has remained continuously in print and is one of the most influential American political novels.[1] It has been called an "iconic Cold War text."[2] In general, it can be said that "our" behavior overseas has improved in a lot of ways. Free of ugliness? Nope. Just less, or so I got when I was in SEA.
In the last week or so I've seen a lot of Chinees here in southern California. You can tell they are from out of town because they are over dressed.
