Loving the weather this year....... 25 degrees one day and 65 the next and down and up and up and down and the pressure changes make my sinuses want to explode LOL. At least the mud is consistent!!!

I would argue that if you're thinking that way, you should worry. On the other hand, you should not be worrying because your preps are sufficient.

Don't know if you have seen this yet. Sure seems to be a considerable number of contradictions within the *Final Report"

The government is going to insert them selves to "help" when none is needed just as an excuse to seize authority and suspended rights.
The cure will be worse than the disease.

If this is an escaped bio weapon it's not being deployed by a weapons system. If it was a weapon and used as such could have started with 100,000 or a million cases right out of the gate.

No the problem is, as you have probably heard numerous times before, YOU are in a 70 unit apartment building.
And you state it's filled with idiots and yet you stay.

Granted, you may be there for family reasons but can you take the family with you out of that overpopulated lala land and to an area with better security and breathing room?

Spanish Flu back in late 1910s lasted for years - it was slow growth pandemic >>> the lack of acceptance & realization is one of the reasons why it spread as bad - there was massive spread at public events still being held - infected people were attending movie theaters and coughing up a private plague ....

if you haven't realized it - most of the SHTF circumstances allow for a long term run up to the final BAM!! - the sheeple crunch still hasn't hit for The Virus >> it's beginning up in the NW and parts of CA - rare in other parts of the US - the WA based Costcos were Friday/Saturday madhouses with lines out to the streets and no carts or parking available ..

the actual REAL problem starts with the sheeple rush - the JIT supply chain is being depleted - warehouse to stores depleted - store shelves being emptied by the more intelligent & better $$$$ resourced public >>> sorry the other sheeple will be shit out of luck and will respond with violence in some cases - RIOT & LOOTING can be expected - DON'T BE THERE !!!!

UncleMorgan I like peeling bananas and (occasionally) people.

Funny thing about that...there may be very little to eat, no matter how many die.

BTW: I think Thunder5 Ranch is making the right moves at the right time--which is essentially "right now". It's time to stock up big-time on food, tell the starving masses to stay behind the 200 meter range markers, etc.

I've been studying up on the situation, and so far, I see the US following the same path of denial and risk de-emphasis. It's still head-in-the-sand time for most people and almost the entire government.

Except when it comes to protecting their own interests.

I think we have at most four weeks before the U.S. is overrun with the disease.

Right now China is deploying 1,000,000 commercial incinerators, each capable of burning 30 human bodies a day. So China's real losses are already, or soon will be, in excess of 30,000,000 people--a day. For however long it lasts.

And here is an interesting twist on food availability.

Right now China is locked down. Almost nobody travels, anyone that does has a 14-day quarantine waiting for them when they arrive at their destination.

    So let's talk about bees.

China has over 9,000,000 managed bee colonies. They produce one fourth of the world's honey, but more importantly they pollinate China food crops.

Right now hives need to be moved into SW China to do their pollination thing. But the hives can't be moved because of the lockdowns. And the 14-day quarantines that wait for the beekeepers.

The crops in NW China is past the pollen phase, so the hives are starting to starve en mass.

If they don't get moved, and very soon, there will be no more (or very little) pollination going on
    in SW China.

Without the bees, the food production for most of SW China's food crops will drop about 61%.

That will cause an immediate and severe national famine. Millions will starve in China in the next six months.

And, if we follow the same lockdown/quarantine format as the Chinese, the exact same thing will happen right here in the good ole' US of A.

We'll have a catastrophic famine--too--and one far worse than the dustbowl days when thousands of Americans starved.

So spend what you can, while you can. Food is going to start getting scarce very soon. And very expensive.

If you can't self-quarantine--and enforce your isolation--just plan on flat-out dying.
COVID-19 confers no immunity. It is hundreds or thousands of time more contagious than ordinary SARS, and the death rate is somewhere up in the Stratosphere, right alongside Smallpox.

COVID-19 isn't going to just blast by and then burn out like the Spanish Flu, which left a lot of immune survivors behind it. It's going to hit in multiple waves.

When whole families in China die in less than a week, you're not talking about a disease with a 1% mortality rate. As far as I have been able to determine, the mortality rate for the re-infected is a flat 100%. For the first-timers, it's probably somewhere well above 75%--I think.

Make sure you are considering self defense mechanisms for you and your family too. Not talking masks and gloves here.

Why should the big city Californians stock up when they can simply raid your stocks?

My biggest concern is that the sheeple's reactions to the virus and the shortages it's bound to cause is going to be far more dangerous than the virus itself.

Was watching a show this morning that stated that prescription drug manufacturers depend on China and India for as much as 80% of the basic ingredients used in the manufacture of their prescription drugs. The Govt has acknowledged that shortages are already occurring, but they aren't saying which drugs and how bad the shortages are.

Well I surely hope American businesses in general have learned that depending on China as part of their critical supply chain was a really stupid idea.

But I don't hold out a lot of hope.

Yep, the habit of US industry cheaping out and buying critical supplies from China was sure to bite our posteriors sooner or later. Obvious bad choice.

I had never given any thought to where stuff I bought was manufactured until recently. Is there a way to find out if things were manufactured in China before you buy them?
