Possible Weird Twist To Impeachment Proceedings

    Ok, I don't know exactly how to go about verifying this, but my brother, 20 year Navy vet and a pretty darn smart guy, and I were talking today and he said that buried somewhere in the Constitution or interpretations of it, there is a rule or regulation that says if a president is impeached, then his election is invalidated. Now, if that is true, then Pence would take over and it would be like Trump had never run. Which means, he would be eligible for 2 more terms if elected in 2020. I can see now why Pelosi isn't releasing the articles of impeachment. If this is true, we'll be hearing the explosions of liberals heads real soon.

    Like I said, I don't have the research skills to verify this.

    Don't think that is correct...LBJ could not run again in 68 because he would have exceeded ten years from the date he took office. I know, JFK was a different case altogether, but the same limitation would apply if Trumps' election was invalid...Pence could only serve two more terms if there was not a backdating. (22d Amendment)
    Can't have it both ways, so someone has their wires crossed ;)

    Not so fast here!
    There are a few obscure "rules" and powers that exist. First, emergency powers ( which eventually have to be approved by congress) and Martial Law, both of which have only ever been used Once (Ww-II!) Its a dangerous road Nasty Nancy is traveling, and im betting its going to bite her in the ass!
    My gut says she is trying to stall so that the 5 senators dont have a conflict during their bid for the presidency! She is operating at the very edge of her authority as it is, and i think this wil be the piece needed to bust her ass and remove her from office for breach of duty!

    If he is impeached and removed from office he cannot hold the office again. Impeachment alone is just a blow to his ego. The odds of him being removed from office are minuscule at best. It would be paramount to the Republicans giving the country away, irrevocably.

    President Pence could pardon former President Trump and then President Trump could run again in 2020!

    My question is “ Pardoned for what Crime?”. So far I have yet to see or hear about a Crime being commited... Withholding Aid money is NOT a crime... If it was, Odumbo and Biden would be prosecuted for withholding Aid Money to the Ukraine as well.... and Withholding and not making Administration Officials from Congress has happened many times before, and the Supreme Court has upheld that as Separation of Powers and Constitutional... So where is the crime.... Now they are speculating about NEW Articles of Impeachment... It is a smokescreen to extend the hearings and not to have a Trial... Dumb move, as the country is tired of the drama, and will take it out on the Demoncrate at the Polls next November....

    Until Nasty Nancy turns the Articles over to the Senate - the POTUS IS NOT impeached. It is called the impeachment process for a reason.

    The final section of Article II, which generally describes the executive branch, specifies that the “President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States” shall be removed from office if convicted in an impeachment trial of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” Two clauses in Article I lay out the role of the House of Representatives and the Senate in impeachments and in trials of impeachment.

    Basically the 22 nd states that the limit is 10 years, if a VP or other serves as President for 2 years , not being elected to the office, he can serve 1 term, if less than 2 years, he can be elected twice, in effect, limits anyone to 1 day less than 10 years as a max. Pence if Trump was replaced, would be in office for about a year, election Nov 2020, sworn in 2021, and could run twice, thus about 9 years in total. It would open a real can of worms if a President was impeached and then pardoned by the acting President, courts would have to decide if the pardon nullified the impeachment or only removed the punishments under law. If so, would it remove the prohibition to serve in any elected office again.

    But now they are trying to go after Pence,, so that may be why Pelousy is not releasing their impeachment,, if they can impeach them both,, then there’ll be no pardon and Pelousy will take over as POTUS. Scary thought.

    pardoned for the underlying crimes, yes, but not pardoned from impeachment and removal from office. That would not be pardonable by a later president, IMO.

    Interesting side show - try and find anything on line about Nasty Nancy's health. It's like there is a complete blackout.

    After 30 min, I gave up. So, now I have to ask - what is being hidden?

    there's no Constitution provision for a simultaneous impeachment for both offices >>> and if either/or is impeached - the VP moves up and is replaced by a GOP agreed or the VP is replaced and then moves up to the POTUS position ...
    the Speaker of the House can't ascend thru impeachment ...

    Pelosi is trying to cement her place in history by changing the term for a last ditch desperation effort from "Hail Mary" to "Hail Nancy".

    In Nancy's dreams it's the "Hail" used by masses with the right arms held stiffly outwards at a 30 degree angle, and not the massive face plant that is about to happen.

    If/when this hits the Senate and as expected things go bad for Team Pelosi I predict all the live coverage to stop and instead get select soundbites.

    It's super simple, really. If nothing else, all the years I've spent posting about the true state of the nation have gone completely ignored if one were to assume that we're actually operating within the guidelines of the Constitutional Government so many falsely believe exists. But, all this aside for a moment, let us consider the reality of public perception and the world's most useful socialization tool, the television. Since we are well past the point of no return to existing within the republic which birthed this corporate oligarchy, the whole reason "why" this charade is still ongoing is simply because it can. The media is extremely potent in its measure of bringing about change in the minds of the masses, so despite our own resolve, we must not underestimate the value of majority consent when it comes to public opinion. Simply put, this is a well thought out plan to further the divide that has already been created by the increasingly radicalized two party political paradigm. Since we can all agree on some basic facts, that being Big T doesn't have any charges on him with actual evidence and the Senate itself, who will never convict him, thus rendering any impeachment a null state. Therefore, the outcome for these measures is going to unquestionably result in more doubt as to the legitimacy of "Government", and more angst between the two major parties. This standard I have briefly explained sets the stage for global governance even further and continues the campaign set long ago to discredit the function of everything "Government" in the United States, which begs the question of what will eventually replace it. You're not seeing the solution yet because there's still a very strong center of opposition to any radical change and a traditional circuit of Patriots who are armed and highly capable of promoting dissent, both within "Government" and in the public. As we progress further down this road of Government shutdowns, emergency proceedings, hyped and often illegitimate elections, calamity after calamity, scandals, abuses of power (whether they be imagined or otherwise), and of course the ever present 'terror' doom and gloom, the People will ultimately tear each other apart and wear away at the very fabric of what once was the republic and even do much of the work for those who stand to gain the power from such an effort. The idea isn't to simply conquer us, it's to force the people into accepting their own enslavement. Fewer people now than ever have actual knowledge and insight as to the true nature of how the republic ought to work, as many erroneously believe we derive our rights from parchment and edict of government, not birth itself and the universe at will. They play these games and grant lip-service to the Constitution while fully knowing it's a document and delegation of power which hasn't been obeyed by "government" for generations. The more corrupt the government becomes, the more radicalized the two parties are, the greater the chances of revolution, and ultimately the seekers of power will fully inherit the throne in perpetuity.
    This "scandal" is a ploy to further the divide and lend itself to the campaign to undermine all that is commonly held and believed to be the American Dream so they can establish global governance as its replacement. Trump promised Americans a return to greatness, and the "opposition" seek to utterly crush all attempts made to do so. Victorious or not in this endeavor, we've been set up to lose in the end.

    This is also the context of open borders, to get America used to the idea of seeing more non whites, and a move away from Americanisism toward globalisism! The useful idiots comming here are simply the tool to turn that screw!
    Remove the Americans from their own country, plunder its vast richness and spread the wealth, stop Americas military by breaking it up knowing they cannot beat it through force of arms, and change the power base to one more closely aligned with the ideals the PTB want!

    I can't agree with that, sorry. The rest of what you said has some merit, although I wouldn't ascribe it to my original statement. I hate to sound contentious since we are on the same side, but there's more to it than this, and I have a really tough time explaining it because it's out of our control. Sooner or later, and the longer we go the more likely it is to happen, we will face an extinction level event brought on by natural phenomena. I believe it is the position of the top echelon of corporate cartel and wealthy families who have sponged off humanity for centuries, to capitalize on this event as best they can. Some within their ranks have chosen to preserve as much of humanity as possible, but you can bet every last cent that you're not on the list to head to the bunkers with them. I also believe that in order to ensure that "they" wind up as rulers of everything when they emerge, they must accomplish certain tasks which would pave their way. Not all humanity on the surface will perish, but the U.S.A. also isn't the only nation with massive underground cities.
