I got this M94 Trapper new when I was about 13 ....really fond of it especially getting in and out of a vehicle...it does bark with that 16inch barrel though. I also have a 1960s full length M94 that I just rebarrelled to .44Rem (it was in 32Win Special) but have no pics of it. And of course most have seen my other thread on the Marlin that just landed here t home....
That is one ugly ass rifle. Posted the same here when it first came out and would be to embarrassed to bring it to the range with anyone else around.
I read about the 45/70 being used during the Spanish American war. Scary thought! I watched a program where a Gatling gun used the 45/70 also. I once shot at targets and the trees in the background started losing whole branches. an awesome caliber.
Just offhand thinking,How many projectiles are offered for the 45/70... 300 gr 330 gr 400 gr or 405 gr 500 gr What others?
