For those with really deep pockets! 458 SOCOM 1895 GBL Lever Action Rifle. Custom order yours now. Chambered in 458 SOCOM
I like um lots! The big bores need a nice long come back tour! A .500 Jeffery is my fav, and while not the most powerful ever, it has serious potential in the modern world! Would love to see Winchester bring back the 1895's and do them in the super size magnums up to the .505 Gibbs and the like!
Understood, quite well. "When I wore a younger man's clothes" I was nearly recoil proof. Well, no longer true, I do NOT get a kick out of taking punches to the shoulder, not to mention the two rotator cuff surgeries ---
The 458 SOCOM is a pussy cat in the AR15 and I would figure it would be pretty mild with the Bishop nose piece.
But But But..........................45/70 is so yesterday, we gotta have the latest and greatest wizzbang bang stick out there, as fast as they can make it! LOL Seriously, there is nothing in North America that needs more then the grand ol .45/70 does! But I gotta have more power, Cus, 'Murica!
Had an event one dark night in the Big City. 30-30 did the job, and as I "pushed" the perp toward the waiting SO Cruiser I shifted to my sidearm. Because I lost count and was not sure if I had a round in the chamber. How nice it would have been to know I had started with 8.
That's just the ones that leave home in Texas and move to Louisiana to get away from the Big'uns we have here in central Texas.
Three thousand dollars! good grief. Maybe you all can explain to me why someone would pay $3000 for a gun? Is there really a difference in shooting, accuracy and longevity?
It's a guy thing, @Motomom34 .. We always need to have a bigger bang. M80's instead of those wimpy little poppers on the fourth.. Yup, I would like to try one of those but not at 3K..
No real reason, but it's like the Jeep thing, do you really NEED a lift and bigger tires, or a winch or roof rack, or all those off road lights? Gunz are the same way, the Short answer is No, but then there is the Why not, and Holy Shit that's cool factor, and bragging rights at having something none of your buddies have! Like several of us posted before, it's really nothing a good old Marlin or Winchester .45/70 cannot do and probably do better, and for less then a Grand too!
