Well, my 95 year old Great Aunt, which acted as my Grandmother has finally passed after a few years of dementia ravaging her. My actual Grandmother (mom's side), died when I was young due to an accidental fall during an argument with her police husband........ (lot's of stuff in that). Anyways, her sister, my G. Aunt, stepped in and was a Grandmother figure for all of us (she never had kids). We have to lay her down on July 3rd and that will be tough. What I really need prayers for are..... I have to go to the belly of the beast for this funeral. I fly into Los Angeles the day before and have to stay in Californistan for an entire two days. No concealed firearm, in the heart of the jungle..... God help me. Maybe if SHTF while I am there, I can take refuge with Ed G...........
Hopefully it started with "Sweet Baby Jesus, please have over-watch on the Dart".... or something like that.
Interesting side story, my cousin is coming as well from Texas. He is a "reformed" (aka prison time) drug dealer from back in the day... and now is the preacher for his biker gang in the Dallas area..... we gonna have fun. He is bigger than a house and crazy as hell....miss that guy living in my immediate bubble!!
Hmmmm wonders if yer losing it! Sounds like she had a good life and a long life and I will pray she has a good afterlife
Thank you sir...she had a good ride!! A bit of levity, humor what have you.... I guess it is my Army triggering.... in effect. As a side note, I have hit myself on the side of aircraft, while in flight a few times..... there is that.
Take it easy Brother, ain't no thing! And besides that, YOU ARE the WEAPON, and no tools are needed to get what needs done, done! Knee Mail uploaded! R.I.P!
My mom is pretty much in full blown alzheimers now , so I know what you've dealt with . My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Grandmother ,, ( Great Aunt ) . In my opinion ,, it sounds as tho you're more worried more about some shitbag neighborhood , than anything else . Just from my take on your experience of life in some of the worst parts of the world , you've got the experience to walk thru that AO and scare the piss outta them . This is my country , your country , our country , if we have to walk scared thru our country , then it's time to clean house . I refuse to walk anywhere in my country scared of anybody . Just be aware of you're surroundings , your exits , useful tools laying around , who's eyeballing you , and who's not . And as a side note , as far as your cousin is concerned , it's not a gang , it's a club . If I'm out of line here , I apologize , I've been sitting by the fire barrel , drinking , listening to the frogs and crickets , and the owls in the background . Go in there , take care of business , and get home . You'll be ok .
Go with care YD. Sounds if she deserves the respect of your presence at her send off and it surely won't be your first experience with a bit of white knuckle time.
prayers Tx D @Yard Dart plus plus we is overdue fer a major quake wut the fat boy and them iranians is up to riots are always a possibility be safe
To celebrate such a life is worth exposure to all Caliphornia has to offer. I'm sad that your Great Aunt has passed, but it sounds like she lived a good and long life and was strong enough to overcome adversity. Truly someone we can all look up to. Don't worry about SHTF breaking out - in many places there they won't know the difference. Just think of it like a vacation to Venezuela. Do bring some comms, comfortable walking shoes, and whatever else you need to bail if you need to. Some Bernie, I'm With Her, or Gay Pride shirts will help you blend in and you might even get some free stuff. Also, since you are coming in from Washington they likely won't make you pass through their Flyover State Customs when you depart the airport. You could probably even smuggle in an unredacted copy of the US Constitution since you will likely avoid the cavity searches they normally give to passengers arriving from Free States. If you do attract unwanted attention by the authorities while in the terminal, point into the crowd and yell "ORANGE! She has a FLORIDA ORANGE! OUT OF STATE FRUIT!!!" and while the Storm Troopers of Peace are hauling some lady off to interrogation simply sneak away while everyone is distracted.
Prayers outbound... For your Aunt, may she find peace and relief from the ills of man. For you, safe travels and good vibes. For those who may molest you during your visit to Commiefornia, may you provide them a severe lesson in common decency which they were deprived of as children.
Sorry to hear that you have lost someone so important in your life. Thank goodness memories never fade
I suspect that you may be harboring the concerns raised by continuous "the sky is falling" sort of newsworthy junk news from californication. Go, but go wary, give your Great Aunt the respect and honor she deserves for steering you (even if you wound up jumping out of perfectly good aircraft.)
I checked with the man upstairs you will get in and out of that AO ok. Your heart will heal in time and your friends here send you much love and support.
