I noticed that the first report I heard of the shooting, on an NPR station, gave the names of the victims and not the shooter. There had been talk on several talk shows about not naming shooters and giving them zero of the sick fame that they seem to be after. The push was to never release the killers name, not to protect them or to conceal a foreign sounding name or anything, but to deny them even a second in the media spotlight. What amazes me is that even NPR seems to see the point of this. No fame. Dead and forgotten or just another convict on death row. (Abbreviated stay there if their identity is leaked to the population on the inside.)
