Wishing everyone a Happy Hogmanay!!! Or as you call it over there... Happy New Years It is now offically 2019 here in Scotland
I just looked up Hogmanay. So do you do all the traditions like bring food and greeting your neighbors? Also did you do this?
Im an antisocial peopleaphobe... so... no. We (dh and I, )had a fire out back in my kadai and toasted the newyears with a dram (or 2) of midwinter mead while listening to the boats at the harbour ring in new years(tradition in Aberdeen, all the boats/ships in Aberdeen harbour just a few miles up the coast lean on there horns at midnight to ring in the new years... for about 10 minutes straigh. Its a pretty awsome sound along with all the fireworks going off to.) We did think of going to Stonehaven for the fireballs but ... Im a bit clastriphobic in crowds and it can get pretty packed....
