My gun friend bought a new barrel to be able to shoot the Aguila 60 grain in his 10-22. Also I’ve heard you can soak your can in water and that will make it quieter.
Wire pulling lube is commonly used to dull first round pop. But with the GM-22 can I can't really tell if there is a first round pop. If shooting super sonic ammo first round pop doesn't really matter. The gemtech mist has about 9 or 10 inches of actual barrel the rest is baffles and outer cover. The short barrel supposedly renders most standard ammo subsonic.
I got one that does not have the hole drilled 2 or 3 inches down the bore from the chamber. Oh and mine is for a takedown, this one is not.
The 10/22 takedown target will be here next week. Only $600 after NM sales tax. The m1913 from amazon of all places should be here first thing next week. The Leopold optic came in some time around 2011. One of those someone needed money deals during the peak of dumbassesses "it's technically not a recession" economy.
Don't ever buy a gun that doesn't piss off a liberal. I know what you are thinking, 22LR won't piss off a liberal. Hold my beer... Not a bad start.
More. I'm off to a pretty good start. The rifle is l about as loud as a pellet gun with sub sonic ammo. Still no optics rail. Won't you be my neighbor?
Have YOU posted a list of where you bought all these toys from ? Looking also the tame the breakdown to a pellet sound. 410 and above calls eyes. Sloth
I don't remember where I got the Leopold CQ-T optic on account of I but it some time around 2011. I got the silencer from a local title 2 firearms dealer. But gun broker dot com to a local title 2 dealer. The 10/22 buffer came from ebay. But you can make your own 10/22 bolt buffer out of automotive vacuum line with a bit of TIG filler rod, if a coat hanger isn't the correct size. I had to get the 10/22 m1913 rail off amazon. I am reselling the factory 16 inch 10/22 barrel on ebay. It's probably the only 16 inch ruger factory takedown target barrel on there. To fund more toys. I don't hate the factory trigger group and stock. So leaving those alone for now.
Well it looks like the Leopold CQ-T and 10/22 just aren't going together. Guess I will have to buy something else to put it on.
There is not much to hear. It sounds a lot like a pneumatic wire nail driver. The optic is a leupold 1.5 to 4 power. Nothing special. Hell just the optic cost more than my first 10/22 did by quite a bit.
I got a magpul X-22 backpacker optics mount. It relocates the scope mount to the barrel. If this doesn't fix my accuracy problem nothing will.
Well eventually I got the Franklin armory trigger and it's not what I expected. I'll put the bx-25 trigger back on. It's giving me some reliably problems. So far it's: -$600 for the gun -$600 for the gemtech -$200 bribe, I mean tax stamp -$300 for the sig optic -$100 for the optic mount, rounding up, think it was under $90 shipped -$330 for the binary trigger that doesn't work. +$100 for selling the ruger take down case +$160 for selling the original barrel. And hopefully I can resell that binary trigger for up to $300
