Still breaking this in and have killed a number of rocks and one snake. Very accurate up close. A good Field Gun. The rocks are soft cliche and with a good back stop it shatters them. with a satisfying splatter.
Springfield Armory makes good firearms. I still find myself wanting one of their SAINT ARs but cannot justify another 5.56...but I know that someday I will end up buying an M1A, as it has got to be one of the best 7.62 firearms out there and I can justify it since I don't have a 7.62... Actually, I like the grip on the XD better than my Glocks...
By this I'm saying in an up close shot the gun must be quick to align the sights on a small object such as a snake and easy on the trigger pull. The fiber optic front sight is perfectly buried in the rear sight and makes a great sight picture in a snap shot. At 20 + feet (my idea of a close shot) this gun is spot on and quick. The grip is very comfortable and the 16 + 1 round will address the Four Pit Bulls reported loose in the area.
@HK_User What is the weight of the trigger pull? I got 5+ lbs on the Glocks and thinking of changing one as a test to 3.5 Ibs. That's a 9mm, right?
I'd be interested. I think my Glocks triggers are all heavy but never have tested them. They are suppose to be ~5.5 lbs but think they're heavier.
