I sometimes carry a bunch of keys linked to a cast iron bottle opener with a stainless steel key hook. I tend to get very thirsty when under stress.

 

Yes, being armed may well be an advantage against violent criminals....I just point out that simply possessing a firearm may offer a false sense of security, and may represent an actual danger to the owner / household residents, as opposed to a theoretical danger from those who potentially may do the owner harm.

They fudge those studies by attrubuting suicides using firearms to “gun violence”. Note: people who are going to kill themselves will try it gun or not. They just increase their odds of success the first time around by using a gun. I knew a guy who hanged himself with a ratchet strap. Maybe we should ban those too.

Only when going to and from my knitting group....otherwise stainless steel chopsticks going to and from yum cha. possession of such items at other times may be used by an enthusiastic prosecution as signalling intent. Whereas with a bottle opener...any time is beer time!

 

I would hate to live in such a pussyfied country as yours. Will the gov let you fish with sharp hooks or work your garden with a sharp hoe?If someone is breaking into your house what do you do? Do you tell the crooks “ you had better quit or I’m telling on you”? You might as well just give them the keys that way your door will be ok,or better yet just don’t lock your doors.
