Anyone have sugestions for both an IWB and OWB holster for this Ruger? I'm skinny so sometimes hard to conceal carry for me except cold weather. Yall that know me quit your dang laffin ! I KNOW it's a 9mm and not a 1911 OK? Getting older and thought I might as well try a pocket pistol once before dyin' I use a Fobus style both IWB and OWB with my 1911 when I'm not open carrying in a gov issue flap holster but maybe someone has a better idea for the Ruger.
Send the Ruger and a Carte Blanche to find and purchase you the right holster that fits me. After the test fit and firing I'll return the Ruger, Hoster and the receipts in a short short.
Make your own with Kydex and get what you want I have made many including extra mag (s) holder for waist band
I recommend a Hybrid Leather/Kydex custom molded to your specific pistol! I have found they are about the most comfortable for all day, every day carry and when done right, very concealable!
Bought one of these for my Taurus PT111. Nice tight fit but not so tight that the holster is removed with the draw. They build the IWB and OWB for most handguns. They build them for the LC9, too ... Ruger IWB KYDEX Holsters $34 and if you give them your email addy they knock off 20%.
I carry a Ruger LC9s in a Aliengear 3.0 made for the LC9s. Its a hybrid kydex/leather holster made right here in Idaho. Its very comfortable and hides very well. I highly recommend it. While we are talking about it. I love my LC9s. I carried the standard LC9 for a couple of years but never really liked the long hard trigger pull. The LC9s is a different animal and the upgrade fixed that trigger problem completely.
I use a clip with my Springfield XDs .45, and if I ever got a Ruger 9mm I would do the same with it. No holster necessary. Technaclip: https://www.brownells.com/shooting-...-clips/right-side-techna-clips-prod45323.aspx
Wanted to thank you monkeys for the responses. Went with the Aliengear cloak tuck and on the suggestion of the clip trying that as well since I've not used one before. May order a custom kydex/leather IWB for one of my Star PDs if I can't get used to this Ruger. After 50+ years with Mr. Browning's awesome gift to mankind I'm still having trouble accepting this Ruger............No HK, I won't be sending the LC9 to you as I wouldn't want to chance it getting lost in the mail. Besides Mrs. Dawg keeps looking sideways at it as a companion to her beloved PT111.
