IMHO the best mag fed shotty out there is the Saiga12. However you will have to crack yer wallet for one, if you can find one. Down here they are hard to find and about 1,200 bux when you do. I would like to have one but not at that price. Eventually I'll come across one for a good cash money FTF price. If I feel the need for speed I still break out one of the Super 90's. Shotty that gets used the most here is an 870.

Back around the 1st of the year I purchased two SAS12's. These are ChiCom semis with detachable box mags. Come with two 3 rn mags and I ordered two 5 rounders as well. The shotty has gotten mixed reviews more good than bad. Most of the bad seem to come from people that do not take the "must be stripped down and thoroughly cleaned before use" part seriously. These things have been dipped in cosmoline then rolled in a vat of cosmoline, then wrapped in cosmoline paper. I put mine through the solvent tank-twice. The instructions tell you to use high brass shells during the break in period-do it. It's brutal on the shoulder but mine now work fine with low base. Fit is pretty good on these but the finish is typical ChiCom. There were sharp edges on some parts and the machining is not Browning quality but works.

I bought both of mine in the 24" barrel and with the following reasons in mind:
I wanted a mag fed shotgun but did not want to spend a lot.
    I wanted a truck/ATV shotty that I didn't mind getting beat up.
I read that Mossy stocks will adapt to them.
For $139.99 I can afford to be wrong.
I really don't care about 10 or 12 round mags in a 12 gauge-they are waaaaayyyyy too long. However I do care about drums. There are no drums offered for this shotgun at this time. BUT they do make fairly cheap drums for the Saiga12. A few hours in my shop and I cut the top off of a Saiga12 drum and the top off of one of the 3 round SAS12 mags and TIGed the two together.
I now have a beater drum fed shotty with a 20" barrel. Once I finish playing with it I will blast and refinish it and will have less than 1/2 the cost of the Saiga12 or Vepr12 and still less than the Cheeta12.
I figure to do the conversion for the other one and double my money at a gun show-making mine free.

Because of the Castle law and I have vehicles and out buildings it may come down to me having to defend to my property line. 11 shells ? if it takes more I think you will have a D.A. problem although I do have a belt of 25 hung with the shotgun I do grab both on the way out the door.

My idea of a good 12 ga round is #1 buck 12 pellets velocity around 1250 FPS a 7/8th slug about the same I do not lve where I might encounter a griz or moose if I did bigger payloads higher velocities.

I got a Marlin 12 Ga. 3" Magnum Super Goose Gun that has a Magazine Fed with 1 up the Pipe and 2 in the Mag... It is a Bolt Action.... I also own a Mossberg 16Ga. Bolt Action Magazine fed Shotgun, that I learned to hunt with when I was a 12 year old... Kicked my 98# Frame like a Mule, but you didn't want to miss, for all the Bruises you got shooting it...

    Zimmy Wait, I'm not ready!

Almost every ceiling fan in the house I grew up in only had two blades because I would forget not to sling mine over my shoulder in the house. What was the barrel length 36"? 42"??

Faster and easier reloading for instance hunting when you have to unload and load at each location and better and more consistent balance for wing shooting.
