They said the ban was lifted and then put it back in place. This water issue is not going to be easily resolved.

Advisory lifted June 1: Salem water sees decrease in toxins, while Wilsonville sees increase
Advisory returns June 6: Salem water advisory returns four days after it was lifted

Seems the City of Salem is fine because they have not up-dated their page Drinking Water Advisory but other places in that area will be under an advisory for up to 3 months.

This is the second time Salem has issued an advisory in the past two weeks. The city has said it bases its public advisories on days-old water samples, which it sends to out-of-state facilities for testing, creating a delay in reporting. Oregon Gov. Kate Brown’s emergency declaration from the initial advisory is still in effect. On Wednesday afternoon, Brown re-activated the National Guard to help distribute water around the city. The city says the sites will operate around the clock until further notice.

For those monkeys in and around Salem, there is a water distribution center on Mission St. ( hiway 22) and Winter St. At Bush Gardens sports complex, eight across the street from Salem Hospital. They are super cool, and will load your rig for you. They have 8000 gallons on site at all times, and they refill every 4 hours. They also have a serious treatment system on site and can handle any volume you bring! I just spoke with the super and several crew who are manning this 24/7 and they told me it's going to be at least 4 to 5 months, and not to listen to any media! If they are still supplying water here, you need to be getting your drinking water in bottles or at a filling station like this one!

The second advisory was announced on all the local news outlets last week. This could go off and on all summer. They do have water stations all around Salem. I told my MIL and SIL to save the jugs I took down there earlier so they can refill and to keep at least a few set back unopened just in case.

Picked this up yesterday from a local cookie bakery for about a hundred bux less than the local going rate. I have to widen the gate to my back yard to get it out of site this weekend. Love being the only hillbilly in a gentrified subdivision - the HOA president is next door LOL.

He goes through about one a month and will contact me as they become available. Small volume + low profile + everybody working there has real nice new cars = recreational marijuana. Coincidentally, the SWR meter I picked up about a week ago turned out to be from the foreman/on site caretaker of an enormous grow operation near Bull Run. The place smelled like a skunk orgy.

I'd be inclined to put it in the garage and leave the pickup out ---

I have seen a few places in suburbia that have a few of these filled under their deck or next to their garage. As long as it is filled, most thieves will leave it alone.

The garage is currently FULL of the things my bride kept in storage for several years. We are going through them, but it's going to take a while. I also might get as many as six of them and arrange in a 3x2 pattern with an aisle going up the middle and then building a "shed" around them for protection. Right now I need to get it in my backyard and cover it with a tarp after cleaning sterilizing before filling.

If you don't mind, what is the current going rate for an IBC there?

I'd like to see the looks on their faces, as I show up hauling a 7,000 gallons tanker. :D
