@Thunder5Ranch I viewed the video...and feel rather sick. I truly didn't know it was this bad. I am not sure where to start to even converse about it, the woman with metal impeded throughout her face and thinks because she has hobbies she should not have to work or the woman with 15 children waving her arms and saying "...someone has to pay for all this, someone has to be held accountable..." that really stunned me. The words coming out of these people mouths show they have lost reality, totally. These folks are nothing but parasites feeding off taxpayers, off society. In my mind, we are hurting more than helping them as we feed this unrealistic world they live it. It needs to stop now and show them that reality bites...and hard.

I meet more and more people just like the folks in those videos with each passing year. The last few years they usually want to chastise me because I refuse to do the DOUBLE BUCKs SNAP/EBT at the Three Farmers Markets I own. I grudgingly got Credit/Debit/EBT/SNAP Terminals for the Markets, mainly because a half or more of the Market Shoppers in a poll said the wanted the options to use Credit and Debit Cards. Since that time Vendor sales have gone up 23% across the board. I review the terminal transactions every Saturday and 97% of them are Credit or Debit, 3% are SNAP/EBT. Now here is the kicker, I bought my markets 3 Terminals outright $970 and some change each and I pay the monthly service charge, The vendors cover the 1.75% transaction fees on their sales via the honor system. Every other Market in a 150 mile radius that has a terminal and accepts SNAP/EBT get the Terminal via a Federal Grant that pays like $47 per Month to Rent the Terminal, Another Federal Grant pays the service fee and the transaction fees and now there are Not For Profits getting Very Large Federal Grants and administering them on behalf of Markets to do the double bucks thing with those markets Double bucks is usually the Welfare User Spends $20 on their SNAP Card at the Market the Market Gives them Another $20 in token to spend with the vendors, that is reimbursed by the Not For Profit Administering the DOUBLE BUCKs Federal Grant. SO we the Tax payer in essence are paying TWICE. The other markets often have 75%-85% of their terminal transactions that are SNAP/EBT My markets have A LOT lower SNAP Participation because I refuse to double their benefits or deal with those skanky and very deceptive not for profits. LOL you wuld not believe the amount of Federal Grant Fraud that goes on in soooo many Farmers' Markets. Anyway It makes me happy that SNAP users think I am mean evil and greedy because I refuse to give them Double Bucks at my markets

Yes OK in my book! A man that runs his own business on his hard work and sweat shouldn't have to bow to the demands of his labors for discounts and freebies unearned. Thats just wrong! Next thing, they will demand you bake a cake for them!

 

I question why people that believe someone hates them, would want to do business with someone that they believe hates them.

 

Boggles the mind dosnt it! It goes all the way to the top too. I could tell you stories of dealing with the State of Oregon that would make your head spin! I finally told them to eff off, I would no longer do any business with them under their terms! I'm The contractor, and it's my say how things get done, I charge what unbelieve to be a fair and honest rate, and if they didn't like it, I could happily take my services else where, where the efforts of my labors are appreciated and justly compensated! Believe it or not, the State of California was the easiest to deal with! Not one time did they ever question me or my billing!

When I was a boy, my parents had rental property in various areas of town. In one particular duplex, one side was rented to a woman and her husband, and countless children. They were on all of those government programs. But, the first and only time I had ever heard, she was given a choice, either get a tubal ligation, or lose her government assistance. She chose to have the operation.

As far as being held accountable, that ignorant a$$ed woman doesn't realize that SHE is the one who should be accountable. Learn to keep your legs together, or at least use some sort of birth control!

A similar feeling I have about pro-choice people. Who the hell do they think they are, to murder an unborn child? And, to do it as though it were as easy as having a tooth pulled! Lord knows, that makes me mad as I can be, that people can do that!!

The numbers of irresponsible people on this planet is shocking. Both men and women could do something to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. But, they choose to be careless, stupid, and irresponsible. I hope there is a special place in Hell for pro-choice supporters.

 

The old saying "Don't Breed them if you CAN'T FEED THEM!" I have exactly 2 sons only planned on one but twins were beyond anything I could control No welfare, no handouts, and I worked every day either for someone else or myself making sure they had A roof over their heads, food in their bellies and diapers on their back sides. No one was responsible for my kids but me, I can't even begin to comprehend how the woman (and I use that term loosely) with 15 kids thinks, bright side is that one ended up losing her kids and spending time in the slam.

 

Now please be gentle with me but I have some questions and I know nothing about these programs...

1. What the hell is a Snap/EBT terminal and what is this DOUBLE BUCKs things? I've no clue.
2. I thought that Federal Assistance stop paying after two children, I mean, they will pay per child up to two and then no more, yes? Surely they don't pay for 15?

SNAP - Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program
EBT - Electronic Benefits Transfer

SNAP is ostensibly designed to help ensure the proper nutrition of all members of a family under the poverty level, as opposed to WIC (Women, Infants and Children) which is designed for...wwll the name says it all.

EBT is a debit card replacement for Food Stamps that is electronically refilled every month and doesn't have such a visible stigma as actual booklets of food stamps.

Theoretically it is supposed to cut down on grays and if the grocery store computers and inventory are configured correctly prevents the user from buying beer and cigarettes with welfare money.

And while they may stop at 2, there are ways around it.

Step one - have a kid
Step two - have "no idea where the daddy is"
Step three - "give up the baby" to your momma (the baby's grandma), legally
Step four - repeat the previous three stepa as much as possible

Grandma now has many, many children to take care of that are not hers and it's all done under different rules they will pay for as many kids as she can accumulate, and they will pay MORE for those kids. WIC for those under 8, SNAP for everyone (including those under 8, already covered by WIC), and the equivalent of the foster stipend for EACH KID until they turn 18. And NONE of that money is taxed or counted as income.

There are churches in my area that cater to a specific demographic that will coach you on what to say and help you fill out the forms for the maximum possible benefit from the gubmint. Not the most you can legally get, but the most you can possibly get.

In my metro area there are quite literally third generation welfare recipients who have never worked a day in their life and never will unless something drastic changes

 

You are assuming that there are no other alternatives to 'liberal' / leftist or conservative / 'rightist'. Perhaps in some ideological world views....'centrists' and libertarians don't exist who knew?

With that said, the vast majority of people I come in contact with, especially here in SEA, are left, to extreme left.

 

I am very much Libertarian but the more extreme and nuts the Leftist become the more Republican I look.

We do have some right leaning folks here. Those are mostly Christian NGOs. It just seems as though we have a higher population of left thinking knuckleheads.

Third-World - excuse me, "developing" countries tend to attract many of those who think, just because they volunteered at an NGO for a month, that they saved the planet. When, in reality, all they did was to come here, smoke pot and experiment with other drugs.

 

The more extreme and nuts the leftist and rightists become, the more reasonable I look (to anyone who's not a leftist or rightist extremist nut).
