These blanks are for the milled receiver type kits. Stamped receivers won't work. I'll admit they are going to be a bit of work, but there are CNC programs out there on the net. I have 3 milled receiver kits that are 80's vintage so I'm going to give them a go.
The ones I've handled in the past were good looking units. They have gone up about $150.00 from the last time I checked them out.
I built this Yugo underfolder on a stamped reciever and just don't like it, it doesn't run as well as the Romies I built for some reason.
Was not aware of this. I've always been told that if the kit was from a milled receiver weapon it would only work with another milled receiver. One of the reasons I've had these kits for so long.
I bought the receiver already shaped/bent. For sure, doing the bending would be a LOT more work. In any case, if the trunnion dims match, you're good to go with sheet metal. Be aware that there are (or were, back then) two thicknesses available. Bear in mind that it is the inside dims that are critical for fit and function.
