Agreed wholeheartedly, and I never allow my firearms to have anything to to with toys. They are dead serious tools that need to be treated with the respect they deserve.
Well it works in the movies as does shooting a car's gas tank with a 9mm. As an aside, I think Mythbusters did a bit on that where they shot a car to pieces with tracers and had trouble.
I tried a bump stock and thought it sucked. I use and have to use optics and that thing had the rifle sliding back and forth and crap. Im glad I never bought one. Most likely going to see Republicans cave and ban them. You may also see a concerted effort to ban high cap mags as well. This is one shooting that does give evidence that both high cap mags and any form of automatic fire is extra lethal. It is almost tailor made for gun grabbers . It is almost too scripted, too specific, and the talking heads are already calling for banning the bump stock and drum magazines. I dont support any further gun control but banning these stocks wont change anything for me. I also dont own a drum mag. But will it stop there? Give an inch they take the entire platforms.
Read elsewhere a feller thinks this shooting may be an orchestrated event by the Deep State, as was Sandyhook. The more I see, the more I begin to agree. Dead certain at least two, maybe three shooters involved including Paddock.
Quoting another fellow on NWFA: ""“Why was there an uptick in gun purchases in the fall of 2016?”" ~ 30 rifles purchased since then. What else happened in the fall of last year ?!" Why would somebody who was so nonpolitical panic buy firearms fight after the election or was it just a coincidence?
K-fish, I have to agree with your opinion of bumpers. HOWEVER, I stand against banning them in much the same way I stand against banning any other toys. Just because you and I don't much care for them, there are others that like playing (although I have to admit that "playing" may not be quite the right activity when talking firearms.
They (Democrats) are already admitting that "Many other things" would have to be done as well. Pelosi: Universal Background Checks Aren't 'Complete Answer' - 'We'd Have to Do Many Other Things As Well' - Breitbart
I think he was political. I watched a youtube on body language reading and the person analyzed the brother's interview. When asked about political his movements showed lying. I think the shooter was politicized. It has been mentioned on here that liberals are prepping and this includes weapons.
And, if headlines can be believed, the NRA has asked ATF to review their approval of bumpers. Time to flood the ILA with comms of all kinds.
Sure, like confiscating all weapons and throwing anybody they disagree with into work camps. That's where the left eventually always goes, or did I miss a utopia that worked somewhere?
Nope, I think you covered it.. At least the momentary promise of Utopia, a bonfire and a friendship sing along...
Replace socialists with Slide fire stocks, trade unionists with large capacity magazines, Jews with "assault rifles." Then replace the word me with my guns. (not my guns...your guns.) Note that this only happens with guns. No talk about banning the sale of pressure cookers, nails and black powder, no restrictions on large rental trucks, fertilizer or kerosene. I'm done.
I'd trade socialists for slide fire stocks any day of the week, and I really don't have use for the stocks! Trading the Unionists for magazines - how many mags can I get for each one and how many can I trade in?
Though we make light of these issues, it does demand that we pay attention to the end game. That being, to disarm the populace. They are simply lubricating the slippery slope.
The NRA and the so called Republicans in Congress have sold us out - again. I did send the NRA a nastygram expressing my displeasure in their stance.
Collectively, I believe they think they can use the bump stock as a sacrificial lamb. What they don't understand is that the pack wants the entire flock.
