Well I think @Gator 45/70 meets the diamond in the rough criteria as he has taken a lot of pressure over this. You just keep being you @Gator 45/70
I know of an elderly lady in a trailer down in Ocala. I do not think she cold have afforded to bug out even if she wanted. I always think about how the poor and those without transportation really do not have a choice but stay. I know there is always the option of going to a shelter but after Katrina dome horror stories, I would not go to a shelter.
Lots of people in my trailer who dont own a car and cant leave. Not sure if they plan on going to shelter or not.
I did give you the best resourceful post many threads/posts ago. September isn't a month to be trifled with here in Florida. Welcome to the Party!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello @BailyTheFox ais great news. I am glad things turned out alright and that you did not lose your home. I am sure you learned a few lessons from being without power. Those are good lessons you will carry with you through life. Happy that you are safe.
one things for sure, im getting a generator when my boyfriend moves down here. i almost lost all my snake food and i wouldnt be able to afford to replace it.
Save up for one of those inverter generators. They use about half the fuel of a fixed speed generator of the same output rating when used for light loads.
