I went to my Legion Post tonight for our Executive meeting. One of our members was doing a pull tab board for a Taurus Judge pistol. Shoots 45 long Colt rounds , or 2 1/2 inch 410 shells. He was only selling 15 slots, for 30 bucks a shot. I paid 30 bucks and 10 minutes later, I'm the new owner of a very nice Judge. I've been wanting one of these for quite a while, but never wanted to fork out 500 plus for one. Wish I knew how to post pics. Tomorrow I'm going to buy a lottery ticket. Wish me luck.
Posting pix is as easy as copy from the file and pasting in the message body, or as difficult as linking the storage location in the post.
@SB21 Right click on the image, scroll to properties, copy (ctl C) the properties of the pic. In the Post Reply text block, there is an icon menu in the header. Click on the image with the mountain that is between the smiley and the image of a piece of movie film. Click into the text block that opens up and paste (ctl V) the properties you copied earlier...
@SB21 BIG CONGRATS! You got to shoot off some of those 410 shells and let us know how it was. I have always thought that would be a hell'va home defense weapon so were looking forward to your evaluation/review. Again, congratulations!
My smart@$$ comment was more true than I thought - Smith & Wesson has a similar pistol called "The Governor". That says a lot when a company like S&W copies your product! Been thinking about a Judge for a while anyway as a field pistol.
Tell you what, I'll give you $60 for it, and you can double your investment! Congrats! Good snake gun, or so I've been told.
I was able to stop by the store and pick up a few boxes of ammo today. I will definetly let you know when I get a chance to shoot it. I'm working all weekend and maybe the 4th as well. But I'm dying to try it out and check for accuracy and patterns on different size shot. I picked up a box of Winchester PDX1 410 Defender rounds. I'm wanting to see how the pattern works on this round. It has 3 plated disks , and 12 plated BBs behind them for shock and aim error. It's going to be interesting , I believe. I will keep you all posted as soon as I get the chance to try it out.
Yea, I was offered 270 for it right after winning it. I've just never been good at selling firearms. You never know when you'll need all that you have.
Yes, and shoot a bunch of distances as curious as to accuracy with those 410 shells. I am thinking strictly home defense so max of 45-50 feet and wondering amount of hits you get at that distance say compared with a standard sidearm, 9mm for example. And, compared with spread at say 21 feet... Please let us know as I am very interested in any details you come away with as think it might be a hell'va tool but would hate to purchase then find out it was just another gimmick.
You ALL, realize, that if you were using properly loaded Ammunition, with a loading designed for such a Short Barreled weapon, the Noise would be considerably less, and you wouldn't lose anything in Muzzle Velocity....
