    Holy Cow! Thanks for cleaning this up. YES, folks, you can KILL yourself if you start messing around with an improperly prepared tank. For the record, I buy and use only new ones so that I don't blow myself up.

    Welcome to the monkey tree C.I. Prudent monkeys tend to have live longer and lose less treasure than the gullible ones. Postage and handling to me would probably make the cost benefit to the both of us, very marginal. I'd probably just go propane bottle shooting if I only had a gun. ;)

    Whoa! I never thought of that. You know, that sounds so much cooler than my method which included a bottle of Jack Daniels and 25 black cats strung together on a fuse with bottle rockets serving as an intermittent switch at random intervals.

    I'd probably ring-main the cats, for a more certain ignition, but the animal cruelty legislation here is just so draconian....I guess over where you are, Democrats would satisfactorily substitute for the cats, without any come-backs from the PETA brigade.

    Why shoot it at all... Just Unscrew the Fill/Discharge Valve and let it air out for a couple of hours.... Then fill it with water, and empty it out after a few minutes, a COUPLE of Times, and you are good to go, for Cutting & Welding.... This isn't Rocket Science, and Energetic Materials do NOT need to be used... Unless one wants a BIG BOOM... and then it is Caviate Empore...

    Aw Heck, What a bunch of Pyros, and Whimps.... I can't count the number of 100# Bottles with the Older Valve setups I have changed to the New version, over the years.... as I said, "It isn't Rocket Science"... We routinely decommission Bottles that are NOT current on their Hydro-Tests.... by using the method, outlined above....
