You can also use a small piece of heat shrink tube to go around the bar of the main mount. split it,heat it and it will fuse together. The sling piece will slide over the heat shrink so no metal to metal noise and should last longer than tape. My

It does make some noise/rattle. I have used a rubberband to secure it from rattling, but It allows it to move if you need it.
