Actually, I love'em, I would like to have one by the end of this year, but I think I'm going to go with the "scout" model instead of the "socom". The scout has an 18" bbl instead of the socoms 16". I'd like to try them both first though. If you haven't checked out Springfield Armory's site, it's worth it. They've got some pretty cool models.
They are nice, very nice. With the libs having some power, and with attempts to renew the Assault Weapons Ban I am thinking about a couple of purchases. I really like the .308 too. Brother, that's exactly what I've been thinkin. Stockpile a couple while I still can. Do you think it would be a good idea to buy them used from someone though, so there is no paper trail?
It's good when you can, but that opportunity doesn't always present itself. Not to mention that on AR's you can the new ones just as cheap as the used ones. The SOCOMs are a little different though.
