Boston Dynamics latest creation. Imagine this thing with armor and multi spectral sensors. How do you stop it? If you are brave enough go to their web site and see the rest. They come in all sizes and designed for all terrains, even vertical wall walkers. Boston Dynamics: Dedicated to the Science and Art of How Things Move.
That is easy..... You pull the Plug.... These things have very limited range due to the Battery Technology, and Power Requirements.... Shoot them in the PowerPak....
Easy. Twelve gauge shotgun, 00 Buck to one of those skinny little wheels. Then strip the remainder for parts.
Would be kinda cool to have one for home security patrolling the grounds at night with infrared, FLIR, and ground and sound sensors. It stays plugged outside and activates upon sensing something. Returns to power grid after it is dealt with or etc. Very cool.
Some good 'ol fashion ammonium nitrate and diesel fuel in a 5 gallon plastic bucket buried destroyed numerous MRAPS in Afghanistan and Iraq. These little robots would disintegrate with the same IED's.
Had one of those. The ride was terrible and the engine noise drives you crazy. The factory radio sucked too, only AM.
*shrugs* I suppose you could shoot it down but man....I'm sure the DARPA battery alone is worth salvaging!
I think I'd engage it with earnest chelloveck style conversation.......it would most likely suffer from sensory overload and cognitive dissonance, and run away in the opposite direction at a rapid rate of knots...it's a marvel that anyone here communicates with me!
I'm in same boat for different reasons. Eventually they just accept you as "their jerk" and might even defend you against Darklights Gang of friendly new members. Side note - we'd send you first. *smirk*
Run in, hang a one lb can of tannerite on it's leg. Your shooter will know what to do as soon as you get away (or not.)
