Supposed to be available next year. The power and propulsion system looks to be ahead of it's time. "Franky Zapata rides the 'Flyboard Air' in Naples, Florida, doing impressive maneuvers like spins and slalom, including an amazing breaking in front of the crowd. The innovative Flyboard® Air represents 4 years of hard work, resulting in an Independent Propulsion Unit that can achieven autonomous flight up to 10,000 feet, a top speed of 150km/h (93 mph) and delivers a range of up to 25 km (15 miles). Flyboard Air is still in the prototype phase and will not be available for purchase until 2017. Note: This is NOT a computer simulation or edited video. It is 100% real. "
That sucker costs about as much as a new Ford Mustang! Each of the 6 JetCat Jet engines in that board cost about 5K and the controls in the pack plus all the other stuff! Still cool!!!
'Spensive, but imagine the satisfaction of popping up in front of that spying drone with your shotgun...
LOL, I actually have a Colorado Drone Hunting licence! Haven't had a chance to "Bag One" yet, but I keep looking!
They change that? I remember one being able to fly without a license in lightweight aircraft with no passengers...but that has been a few years. Even so...take my money and I'll stay under 400
You do know & see all the jet ski's in action ?? Them are there for a reason as he's over water also . I can Autorotate , and prefer land over water ,even with "TOONS" . This is pushing the limits in my thinking : Even a R22 can recover better than above . I have not had a Mosquito stick.
Just a short note on the vid That "backpack" you see the pilot wearing? It is not a parachute - it is the fuel tank for those hungry jet engines.... Neat to see. No thanks for me.
A good stick to have control : This Woman is a great helli logger : She has a control over the stick & she told me her other stick is faster . BC gurl :
