Being a thoughtful sort, I ruminate upon a slam-fire shotgun that needs no shotgun shells or primers. Consider the barrel tube being capped off by a steel disc with a small hole in the center--like a washer. Consider the receiver tube as lacking a firing pin entirely, but containing a small paper ball containing a half dozen friction match heads shaved to a fine powder, along with a very small charge of priming powder--just to give the flash some dash. One slam, one bang, and then a person could inherit quite a nice firearm, plus all the ammo it's former owner could carry. Just thinkin', is all. (Hmmm. Not as heavy as I expected.)
