Finished the rest of our (monthly) grocery shopping today, except for a couple things, one we forgot cause we hadn't put it on the list yet, the other the store was out of. And we went to Bi-Mart, just for canned chicken cause it was at a good price. Walked out with that, plus a bag of cactus soil, a golden raspberry plant, thermals for mom, and a pair of socks for me. That's how we roll

 

Been heavy into reloading this week. .38, .44, .223 & 7mm Mag. I try to do most of it once a year, then fill in or experiment from time to time as needed. Still using bullets, primers and powder that cost about a third of what I will have to pay to replace it. Stock up. It won't rot, and the prices will only go up.

 

Hit a gun sale table of a gunsmith who was going out of business... got a slightly used Brownells master gunsmith punch set, 2 degree dovetail sight files, jewelers screwdrivers, Brownells needle file set, and a piece screw driver set... all less than $100.00..
I'm feeling good about my self... to top it off a bag from the Brownells mobile gunsmith set to carry it in...

Picked up another lock-pick set for my Bob bag. No more swapping around from work and travel. More than once it has has come in handy on a trip.

Not "put away" so much as investing in the future. Picked up 15 New Hampshire Red chicks yesterday. These girls are replacing the 4 Rhode Island Reds I had prior to my move out of the burbs.

 

Major find at the thrift shop yesterday. A case of quart canning jars still in the original wrapping. It was half price day and they had them marked for $5.98 & I paid less then $3.

 

Supplier had a sale and a free shipping, picked up some heavy items for long term stowage. Half are already repainted and in use.

 

999 rounds of .22 , 250 rounds of military 00 buckshot, 250 rounds of .22 magnum, and 4 shelving units for my storage building..

Over the last few weeks added 4,000 rounds of 22LR; 3,400 rounds of Thunderbolt and 600 rounds of CCI.

 

It is Spring so I didn't put away anything unless I count 400 rounds of 6,8.

However, I did till another 20x24 area in the garden and extended the solar powered electric fence. Plus out of 6 garlic cloves 5 are 4" high.

 

Didn't put anything away, but broke out the Sun Oven to cook Sunday lunch/dinner. Haven't used it in about a year. Pork roast, cabbage, rice and gravy, pecan pie (only the roast got cooked in the Sun Oven. ).
