that guy has moves and his partner never misses a beat, he can't do his thing if she doesn't stay on beat. Its a good partnership

This isn't shag dancing but I like it. Edit: it gets really awesome when they have 4 dancers on one set of swords. It's not in this video though.

 

I feel so ripped off....I thought I'd be seeing dancing with long loop piled carpet......

 

How can they possibly remember all those steps?

It gives a new meaning to the expression...."I've been shagged sideways".....

 

I'm not a dancer ,but I can appreciate it and enjoy those doing it well.

Chell, I tried shag dancing but kept getting burns on my feet.

 

The basic step in Carolina Shag is a six-count, eight-step pattern danced in a slot. The rhythm is similar to six-count Swing in that it is triple step, triple step, rock step or counted as "one-and-two, three-and-four, five-six". There are eight shag dance steps.

Hell, I get tired just watching.

Strange....when I tried it, it gave me knee burns.....I must have been doing it wrong.

Dancing I used to do it but got tired of people sticking there wallet in my mouth thinking I was having a seizure I kinda look like Elaine from Seinfeld dancing only without the hot body LOL.

 

I can square dance, and occasionally ballroom dance, but otherwise do not belong on a dance floor.

 

I can call your square dance through plus levels... Shag a but I my younger days... clog, but the wife doesn't dance much so I'm out of practice

 

I used to be able to do some Clem Kaddidlehopper clodhopper dancing, but now, in my senior years, I'm limited to Zimmer-Frame jitterbug...people give me a wide berth on the dance floor.
