Here's my 1980 Romy G kit that i built. its my first every build, of any gun. Its built on a NDS3 receiver. I have a 1977 kit somewhere round here i want to build with a NDS1 receiver, but i just cant get my buddy with the jigs to get off his rump and get motivated for a day on a weekend to do it. Its gonna be sweet though, i Have custom Red furniture for it.
I still have the $55 per k 7.62x39. Molot Vepr II in 5,56 Thicker sheet metal and more. Most accurate AK I've ever owned.
Sure I know this is an old thread, but sometimes you just gotta' revive 'em. My RAS 47 with Magpul Zhukov folding stock and Magpul MOE foregrip and pistol grip. Midwest Industries side scope mount, Midwest Industries flash hider and an Aimpoint Pro optic. I got a screamin' deal on the gray Magpul furniture, so I went with it with some reservations, but I'm really starting to like it.
Yep, sometimes it just has to happen. Too dern bad that so many of the pix were linked rather than embedded; we've lost a lot of nice work.
Hopefully that has been taken care of - although not retroactive, we are now storing a copy of all linked images.
Said I would post these like a month and a half ago; life happens. Nothing special, still working on optics.......although I do have a sweet night vision scope I can guarantee that 99% of the general populace doesn't. Pics if ya want??

Unless you already know the eye relief is going to be OK, you might be needing a new dust cover with rail on it. Not hard to find, and not overly pricey. If the new dust cover fits properly, the mount will be very repeatable.
