OK, think baby food jar

Not for those dammed curtain crawlers but for trading.

I bought some Hershey's chocolate syrup, and thought if I could put these in 2.5 oz curtain crawler jars they would be good trading material... or if they were filled with moonshine.

Ebay... pretty much $1.00 each for the 4 oz size.

Anybody have a source for small glass jars ... cheap?

yes a case of 1/2 pint canning jars are about 9 dollars

 

Half pint is 8 oz, I was thinking something smaller, I did buy a case of quart 32 oz canning jars at w-mart Friday, i think for about $9.00.

Well, a traditional shot is 1 oz, so you might consider those e-liquid squeeze bottles. They're all over the Internet at about ten to 15 cents each.

(I can see it now: Right after the Apocalypse, Hillary Clinton walks into your bar and says "Bartender, gimme a squeeze!"...)

I don't know what a curtain crawler is. But regarding baby food & the jars- I have 2 jars that I need to eat and wash.

I love baby food jars. Handy for nails, dried seeds, rooting herbs in. I can never have enough. They are are good for storing small amounts but they do not reseal again. Maybe good to have if SHTF for handing out small quantities of stuff like baking soda, coconut oil.

I have no kid, no grandkids, or curtain crawlers, that was a choice me and my XYL made.

so did you check out the links for the plastic ones? 2 oz @ 17 cents each for 500 and 4 oz @ 22 cents each for 550.
caps for same @ 6 to 8 cents each. so you would be talking clear plastic 2 or 4 oz bottles complete for 25 to 30 cents each.
lots of liquor comes in clear plastic bottles.

 

I think it is a good idea to a point. I prefer glass over plastic but like I said, those lids do not go back on tightly. If you were a SHTF beekeeper, you could put honey in them.

Seems to me one could use a thin film of food grade silicone glue and renew the seal on the lid perfectly .
