I put away an Eton FR300 hand-crank radio, a five pound box of pretzels, 30 cans of orange juice, a large box of Cheez-Its, 30 fruit cups, a couple boxes of Clif bars, and a large jug of hot cocoa mix... in my dorm room [touchdown]

Otherwise, I've been storing water, flashlights, and batteries while I'm home for break.

I know that the dorm rooms are always tight. Store what you can. The last time I was in a dorm room all that was stored was beer...............[booze]

Yeah, I save enough in my dorm to get me by for a couple of days. I keep a knife, a box of matches, some Clif Bars, and a compass to get me home (15 miles away) to get my bug out gear.

    Ten pounds each of
    Black beans
    Black-eyed peas
    Lima Beans
    Rice

And a couple large bags of wide egg noodles.

This weekend I'll be adding a vacuum sealer, a pressure cooker and a couple cases of Mason jars. Time to ease up on the Ramen noodles and start storing 'real food'.

Man, I've got two large boxes of Ramen stored in my room, and even my roommate agreed with me that Ramen is for emergency situations only. [rofllmao]

A new 50 gallon water heater, it is going to be a bitch to get it out of my basement if the SHTF[doh][doh]

It has 10 more gallons of water at the ready plus it is more efficient than the old one which was 15 years old.

No joke. We have boxes of the stuff that never gets eaten. I gave away a box fully of the packages to my little brother, he will eat anything.

If the old one isn't leaking leave it in place plumb the new one in series, remove the power or gas line from the old one you'd be building in 50 gallons of storage.

Good idea. [applaud] Pipe it in on the cold side, or the hot water won't be as hot transiting the second tank.[touchdown]

Ok, my first time in this thread, and my supply stash is not much, so I'm gonna make it a point to put something up every week, no matter how small.

This thread will be my motivation.

    This week:

    2 cans of beef stew
    A "shake up" flashlight
    A box of 50- 22LR
    A box of 50- 38 spc.

Not much, but "from the tiny acorn grows the mighty oak". :)

Pretty good week so far. Between last week and this week, I bought 600 rounds of .223, 100 rounds of .45ACP, 4 qt Dutch Oven, and bought 2 Blastmatches off of Ebay. Found them for $12 each plus $6 shipping. Not bad it came out to $15, and I have seen them for $20 plus other places if you can still find them.

Tomorrow I plan to go to Sam's Club and buy some extra Rice, and Ramen.

Wednesday I will be going over to a friends and slaughtering 2 pigs and hanging them. Thrusday I will go back and cut them up and package them for the freezer. They get 1 since it is their pigs and I get 1 for our freezer for butchering them. So I will be putting up about 150 lbs of meat. We also have the stuff and may can some of the meat and if needed could can it all but for now it will mostly go in the freezer.

Well, not this week, but a couple of weeks ago I got my father-in-law to show me how to butcher a deer. We didn't go hunting this year but still managed to get 2 does!!

I also got in 300' of 550 paracord and made my first bracelet with 10' of it. going to add about 100' to 2 BOB's, and the remaining 100' will be used for bracelets and other uses around the house.

This week I started some seeds for the garden, indoors of course ;)
