Last night we got hit with a pretty good rocker. Stuff came off the shelves. OK Lights work, we're good. My daughter, who works at the hospital up the street, reports lots of fallen plasterboard, water running in the halls from broken pipes and cracks in the floors - this is a multi-story structure. Usual mess in the stores - tipped product on the floor. Some 10K folks in the Mat-Su without power. This from an earthquake 150 miles away... If we ever took a direct hit (~20 miles) I'd hate to see the carnage. Waiting for daylight to see what else is busted...
Will do - sun comes up just after 10AM, so I'll wander around a bit after that. Folks wonder why I have so many flashlights....
This was a very DEEP Quake... 65 Miles and 81 Miles deep.... actually two Quakes, about 3 Seconds apart, and about 20 miles from each other, over on the East side of Cook Inlet.... folks reported that they felt it in Juneau, but Alaskachick and I slept thru it, and since there was NO Tsunami Warning issued, No one called to wake us up....
LOL there was a couple 4.x aftershocks, but we slept thru those. The first one just about rolled me outta the rack. BTW - BTPost lives about 925 kilometers or 574 miles or 499 nautical miles South (and a bit East) of me.
