I think that is from a workshop for sheeple that is aimed at getting teachers involved with one or another of the gun fearing freaks. Bungs, all.
excuse me, "Help me george bush they's lootin the wall-mart, now they's comin down the street..." Sure Don't want any dangerous things in the house, like hotwater,or electricity...
Everything You Need to Know About Guns in the Home by Jennifer Croft. "Guns in the home are more common than you might think. Almost 40 percent of households in the United States contain a gun. This means that almost half of the families in your neighborhood may have guns in their homes. An even more frightening statistic is that 30 percent of families with children keep loaded guns in the home." Even more frightening is that 30% think this is frightening. ""My dad keeps his hunting rifle in our house," says fourteen-year-old Fiona. "He only takes it out two or three times a year, during hunting season. Still, it scares me even to see it inside the glass case. And it really scares me when he takes it out to clean it." Why don't you ask him to show it to you. "Having a gun around for "protection" doesn't really make sense, when the reality is that a gun in the home is more likely to kill or injure a family member or friend than an intruder.A good case for firearms instruction in the home and school And any weapon used against an intruder can also be turned against oneself only if you're a really bad shot—especially if the intruder is stronger or more used to handling guns than the victim. We will see later in this book how having a gun in the home introduces many new dangers that outweigh the benefits of keeping a gun in the house for self-defense." "People may also own guns for recreational purposes. They may enjoy hunting or target shooting, for example. But these kinds of guns can be dangerous to people too." uh, yeah, guns can be dangerous "There are safer ways to keep and use guns, but as long as a gun is in the home, it is never 100 percent safe."as opposed to outside the home? " A gun, even when given as a gift, is still a dangerous weapon." got to be one of the most idiotic statments I have ever seen " If your parents keep a gun at home, talk to them about their reasons for doing so. If it is for safety reasons, discuss whether the benefits of keeping a gun in the house outweigh the risks that it presents. Talk to your parents about other ways to increase the safety of your household without having a gun—such as installing an alarm system or better locks, or starting a neighborhood watch program." or being nice to Mr. burglar, cause he is just misunderstood and a victim of circumstances " If your parents own a gun to use for recreational purposes, such as hunting, discuss whether the risks are worth it. Couldn't they borrow or rent a gun when they participate in that activity, for example? There may be other options besides having the gun in your house." yeah, carrying it on you, everywhere, all the time " To keep yourself safe, you can also ask your friends and their parents whether they have guns at home. Steer clear of risky situations by avoiding those homes where guns are present. " criminals do " To keep yourself safe, you can also ask your friends and their parents whether they have guns at home. Steer clear of risky situations by avoiding those homes where guns are present." again, we can learn alot from those criminals "If you, your parents, or someone you know wants to get rid of a gun, there are programs that can help. Many cities have programs to take guns back without asking questions. Call your local police department or sheriff's office and ask if they take unwanted guns or if they sponsor a gun buy-back program. Often the police or sheriff will send an officer to your home to pick up the gun." how helpful! The idiocy of these anti-gun nuts never ceases to amaze me. At least she didn't use the old " Keeping a gun in the home for protection makes as much sense as keeping a rattlesnake. They both can turn on you." I have one of the JFPOs "Grandpa Jack" books " Are anti-gunners suffering from mental illness?" Yep Grandpa they is!!
A very good book - for the untrained, inexperienced and "afraid of their own shadows" sheeple. Young Fiona sounds to be well indoctrinated into the Antigun mindset. Remember, these Antigun teachers, and doctors too, will be asking your kids about YOUR guns! After, interest in guns is now considered a pathological disease. It can be cured. Simply remove the "pathogen".
guns in the home this has been going on since the 70's they thought because my uncle owned a sheep farm I should be sheeple seems I was always getting thrown out of school because I wouldnot sheep up on them heres a sample teacher : now students , what do you if a rapists / mugger attacks ? sheeple boy : don't make him mad sheeple girl : blow my whistle me : empty the magazine this attitude resulted in me having three days off and the civics teacher needing proffesional help ( some felt she needed it before she encountered me) btw I graduated in 1983 .
Heard on the news that cell phone use while driving is the cause of more teen deaths than drug use or drinking and driving. Here all this time I thought the leading cause of teens killing each other was with guns when It's really cell phones. Seems like teens need to be taught much more than gun safety.
