No, just ignoring some conservative logic. The fact is that Hitler did not ban all the bad guns from all German citizens. Although private ownership of firearms was regulated, as it was also regulated prior to Hitler coming to power, Privately owned firearms had fewer restrictions placed upon them by the Nazi regime for most people than was the case under Weimar Germany.
