In support of One Second After...it is the first book I recommend to non preppers with the glimmer of a clue.

I'm going to have to rattle some cages. I found a few chapters of very good stories, then the author just quit writing. That's why I don't watch tv shows that may get cancelled after a few episodes.

A lot of good reading. Some I still need to read, but the book that stands out for me is Atlas Shrugged.
It made me think beyond what was happening now, to where it was going. I made my wife read it before I would marry her.

Understand that. I most likely will never get married, though if I do it will be to someone who shares the mindset. I will not sit and have to discuss why I'm storing "extra stuff". No sheep for me.

That was the next series I read after the others. I hated when he left all that shit on the boat after it wrecked.

Tin foil??? 'Fast & Furious' . . .. very similar plot line. [gun]

Our govt. deliberately set out to create a situation that would curb rights guaranteed by the Constitution. That 'aint no tin foil.

@TailorMadeHell let me know what you think of Collision Course. Some did not like it. I loved it but I would be interested on your thoughts.

I have read this series many times. Each time I read it I wonder if it is more of a forecast rather then fiction. I always ask myself, could this really happen.

Well I have read MOST of what is listed (not sure about Lights out, doubt it) and I really got to say there isn't ONE book I would recommend. OK, not to PO anyone, but I really do not like Rawles books. IMHO none of them are worth reading, and yes, I have read them all (OK, there MIGHT be one new one I haven't read yet, but I HAVE read five versions of PATRIOTS, starting with "Grey Nineties", "Triple Ought", "Pat ver.1" private printing, on) and they are ALL riddled with WILL get you killed in real life, DOES NOT work that way in real life, WON'T work like that in real life, etc. If you can not find one of the above an average of one per page in each book (some pages are OK, then you get six to a page for three pages) you either aren't reading closely (or at all), are clueless and need to learn a LOT and RIGHT NOW, or are are a liberal member of Congress/lib-tard.

No Blade of Grass (great book, too horrible for words movie), Day of the Trifids (good book, OK movie), Unintended Consequences (great read!), Atlas Shrugged (classic), Motomoms list (several are very dated, like "Alas, Babylon", which I love), Malevil (French), Tomorrow When the War Began (Aussie), Brother in the Ground (Brit), Twelfth Plague (YA, good read), Civil War II (great book! "Second American Revolution" by Marc Ridenour is too horrible for words! Do NOT confuse them!), On the Jersey Shore, Turner Diaries, anything by Kurt Saxon (Survivor series/PMJB series), Hear the Cradle Song, On the Beach (didn't like it), Iron Cross (? not sure if that is the right title), Ship of Fools, can't think of the other few hundred I've read.

Received them today and I also now have One Second After in audio format. Was surprised that Collision Course is half the size of Lights Out. Will give my thoughts as soon as I get time to read Collision Course.

@TailorMadeHell do not read the reviews on Collision Course, just enjoy the book. Looks like you will be busy. I have never listened to a book on tape. Enjoy!

I liked Collision Course and spoke to David after it came out about the poor reviews. I think the problem was that many were expecting a 100% 'action' SHTF novel like LO and this went deeper into character development (might have been misunderstood). I still have a few signed copies.
