Loved the Kona Coffee! Had it all night at work when I was living in Kona for six months.. Sent a bunch back and had it carefully stashed.. Regrettabley, it is all long gone now..
Kona coffee! geez @Hanzo now you are just a tease! @Dunerunner and I will unite in our boycott from such temptation!
i love me some of that coffe but while in hawaii i looked at a bag already ground up and out of a pound only like 20% of it was the kona bean the rest was some generic BS... what a rip off ... so only buy the whole bean
By the way, had some Ka'u coffee today. Much more flavor than Kona and just as smooth. Expensive though. Was told that with coffee being grown in Kona for so long, the soil is "tired" therefore the Ka'u coffee tastes better. Ka'u is South Point, the southern most point in the United States.
This is a different brand from the one I had, but have a look see... Ka'u Coffee Mill - 100% Hawaiian Estate Grown Coffee
Wifee and I had our third coffee type for today. First was Kona, then Ka'u, and now coffee jelly in milk for dessert.
Think the Ka'u beans are twice the size of the Maui ones. I like Maui coffee too and Waialua coffee and Molokai coffee...
