    Red Ants, Feeding the Smaller Livestock.

    Yes these are important to us Texans, they are native ants and are one of the base sources of food to the Horned Toad(actually a lizard) that is an endangered species due to application of insecticides that killed off the ant supply and the Horned Toad.

    The plants I pull by hand are a true weed and their seeds seem to never die, but the ants will take what I offer and feed their nest mates. With the return of the Red Ants we now have a ready supply of food but no Horned Toads have been seen.

    Perhaps, but I believe it is one of the Ohio plates. (We have quite a few)

    I mentioned the truck, and he just grinned. Said "if it needs doing, consider it done". What you can't see in the picks, is the fireman's ax mounted to the toolbox, and the winch in the bed. The ramps, the arrows standing in the stake holes, and the gun locker behind the seat.:)

    So true, burned in a solemn ceremony in a campfire and the ashes buried.

    Many VFW Post have a Flag Day were this ceremony is performed.
