Good day from somewhere between Houston and San Antonio! I'm a mildly driven prepper doing a bit here and there over the past couple of years. It all started after my first couple of hurricanes. WTF are those things?!?! I grew up on an island in north Atlantic (extreme east coast of Canada) with lots of nasty weather, but those hurricanes you all get in the parts are lunacy. Anyways, I'm also an avid shooter, reloader, and professional rum drinker since college, with a slightly foul f&%*in' foul mouth. See you folks around.
Welcome Mark. Hope you enjoy the community. We'll look forward to hearing from you so don't hesitate to jump into the deep end of the pool
Welcome to the Monkey Tree.... We have a few Good Monkeys down on your area... This is a Family Friendly place, with plenty of Good Folks, and a load of great information to be had... Grab a branch and have a look around....
Well...let's see if he's a real newfie.... Mind your blearin' round here as the mods don't tolerate much ballyragging. S'ok to be a bit biniky - most the old dogs here are from hard roads but as you prolly know - the older the crab the tougher the claws. Glom a cold one and wait for a fair wind, you'll get one. Nah. We're mostly fairly friendly since we get the vast majority of our aggressions out on the ice either playing or watching hockey.
I am. There are actually 3 of us at the office (offshore engineering). Typical conversation: Whadd-ya-at? Dis is it. You? Nudding. Right on. Scoff later? 'Spose, b'ye. Perfect. See ya down in da lobby now da once. Right on. <insert quick nod+wink> You just have to say that really fast with a smidgen mix of irish accent. Get a few weird looks from a few of the mainlanders, but they've adjusted to us.
Ya and the guy who said nothing is the only 1 working... Figures. Lotsa good folks here - some mild drama atm - stay outta it and read lots of old posts. Plenty of gold in these hills. MG
