Titanium chopsticks. O.O. could be really great to keep my hair on my head. Those wood ones always break on me

Thanks @Hanzo... yup... I was actually pretty pleased at how these came out... sort of "elegant" in a "Bear" sort of way ;)

Yup @kellory... these would be at home in the finest 5 star restaurants or the woods... get them engraved for a special gift... take your torch and heat color them ;)

LOL @Ganado you'd have the prettiest hairdo in town... and the toughest hair accessory out there ;)

High bid is $22 plus shipping... pretty affordable gift, out on the town personal chopsticks or indestructible hairpiece ;)... I'll let these run till tomorrow morning...

    Thanks again all...

    Take Care and God Bless,

    Aloha Monkeys,
Got up early 5:15, workout, oatmeal and finished up 3 projects that were pending...
    Here's one of them...
Fossil Walrus Jaw... worked it to look like a face straight on and from the side... see the eyes and the funky nose, ears and nostrils ;)
    Any guesses what it is????
    LOL...
    Have a great weekend all!

A couple of my new neighbor like to meet outside for beers or other drinks. I'm not much of a drinker, but I will have one from time to time to get to better know the neighbors.

Turned them on to Modelo, since one likes Mexican beer.

Modelo with my EDC. I had to swap out my normal Fenix light with my Eagletac while the AAA charged up. Gotta get more. Many of the wife and kids' devices seem to be using AAA so I don't usually have spares to swap out any more.

    Here we go...
Fine old knife of great quality made by a bunch of guys that split off of Buck Knives way back when to start their own company... so they knew that they were doing... this is a keeper with a story so I'm going to be very careful about taking her apart and maintaining the characteristics and integrity of the blade... it's got a great historical story...

Hope you enjoy the WIP... pics should be self explanatory but ask any questions as we go along... happy to explain what I am doing and why....

Last picture... I'll use stainless corby bolts instead of brass pins... whatever glue or epoxy they used had degraded and the wood scales popped right off... corby bolts and counter sinking the scales will be a stronger way of securing the scales....

    Aloha Monkeys,

Had a little more time in the shop this afternoon... picked out some curly Koa... cut it... sanded it... slabbed it with a very thin dowel saw...

Ready for scales to be shaped... this part is going to be slow... see those curved bolsters... these have to be shaped and sanded to fit... go slow... lay it out carefully because you also want the curl and the figure in the Koa to match up... cut oversize... hand sand check.. hand sand... check... 4 times for all the bolsters on either side... make a mistake... start everything all over... because the scales won't match...

I'll start that later... don't want to do it at the end of the day when I'm hungry and tired ;)

Larger block next to the split scales is for a matching bearing block the member wanted ....

Anyone enjoying this and/or finding it useful???? or should I stop here and not use up any more forum memory????

    Have a great week!

Nice. But looks like soooo much work. I guess not the same as shoving a hot stick tang into a piece of wood and calling it good, huh?

    Aloha Monkeys...

Couple more hours in the shop working of this... starting to look like a handle ;)

Hand fit with a file... not the perfect fit I wanted but close given the uneven bolsters...

Drilled and countersunk to take the stainless corby bolts...

A little profiling and shaping for a bit of a palm swell...

Stopped when I got to a critical place... filing and sanding near the bolsters... will take that on tomorrow when I am fresh ;)

Thanks for coming along on the refurbishing... hope it's helpful and entertaining ;)

    Have a great week!
