An Unwelcome Development

Personally I think it's moving along fine as it is written. I enjoy, and I appreciate the effort @Zengunfighter puts into his stories. Perhaps you could write one that moves along quicker?

I had nothing personal agin' this young 'lady', merely trying to demonstrate, how well her feminist proclivities would get along in a world where political correctness dies along with the civilization that created it. Kinda like Carol, remember her and Sadies little 'spat'?
In keeping with the 'new mandate' to abstain from personal attacks, I think its best to just ignore her... since 'feminista logic' is unfathomable. How can you debate a lady with horns?

PS: Keith, it appears you've read some of the 'Forbidden books'?

"Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alanski, "Total Resistance" by Major von Dach Bern, "The Protocols of The Learned Elders of Zion" based on a manual for a lodge of Free Masons, "The Phineas Priesthood" a very old biblical text, "The Torah" by YHWH, "Mein Kampf" by A. Hitler, "Das Kapital" by K. Marx, and etc.

Well, I would prefer not to stink up Zen's thread, and Keith is pulling your leg, as always But, we're talking about the Books of Adam, the Books of Enoch, the Nag Hammadi codexes, Pistis Sophia, the gospel of thomas, the gospel of mary magdelene, etc. etc. All books that were declared 'heretical' and burned by the Roman Catholics...

There are a few more that could be added to the list, books like the Zohar, and the Tanach/Chumash, maybe throw in the kabalistic tree for short measure…but you have paved the road well for the readers here, glad I rose to the bait. Ultimately it comes down to just one question: "Who are you; why are you here?" ;-)

I do like the Kabbalistic philosophy, along with the Emerald tablet of Hermes Trismagistus, they fit in pretty much exactly with most if not all of the 'pagan' Perennial Philosophy ideas, especially the big nono; The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil... its like, a 100,000 years ago, there was only one 'religion', given by 'sky gods', and it got fragmented and mythologized... like Zen, er, Zed, and company... what will the mythologies of America be, in a hundred thousand years... I have often said, who survives the collapse of civilizations, the history professor or the janitor...

 

The folks currently living out of shopping carts under bridges are better equipped to survive than most of our opinionated and well equipped folk…most folks today have never seen bad times…I'm talking bad times here not play acting at all dat sheet n stuff! Being the people person that I am it is easy to see the weakness in society(s) today…and even easier to ignore the solutions…the ones that work. ;-)

 

Amen good sir. I see most of the pussified 'men' folk today, and I just shake my head. But then, if their cell phones quit working, they're all gonna just end up on the sidewalk in a catatonic state anyway...

The horror and brutality of surviving in an all or nothing situation such as this story presents requires that the absolutely dirty…real dirty, business of survival be presented…niceties are but a memory…bugs become delicious when you are starving or will die if you don't partake of such delicious tidbits, the gathering of enough leaches for a quick stir fry on the run…taking brutally anything that is held by a lesser 'soul' than one's self and knowing in your own heart that it is the only way because if you don't survive no one will.

Survival in a combat rich environment is a dirty, sweaty and often horrifying existence with little rest and only the luxury of scraping the sweat, dirt…and blood of of your body with a knife…if you can find time to do that. The ladies are guaranteed to hate it but women by their very nature deal with grubby, dirty, filthy messes better than men do, they just bitch about it more! Not a good thing in a fight but have no doubt about it; women are dangerous, hard fighting and vicious critters when cornered…and if their family is involved just double up on everything.

 

Oh and think I thru away half of a dead rat in my barn yesterday, it could have been lunch, and the maggots in my garbage can, fry them up stir fry.

 

Rince them up and make a pudding, maybe sprinkle in some grass seed for texture. ;-)
