Hello from Missouri I was looking at Tapatalk and decided to check this site out, and yes because I wanted to reply to a post.
Bring brains on what you're good at and text to back it up. Resource those here to who can help with what you need to learn. It's a very win-win place for those who contribute.
Thanks to all of you for the kind words. Retired plumbing and HVAC guy also did car AC was licensed in Illinois for 30 years. Moved back to Missouri 1998 my homeland where I was born. I won't do any of those trades anymore but will answer a question on all of it. Almost forgot I lust electronics.
@tr7heaven You might want to get a Ham Radio License, for some Good Comm Experience..... and join some of us, Monkey Hams
I'm a general XXYZZ, not active now as I sold my ham gear. I have a little 3-1/2 year old daughter I devote all my time to for now. Never knew what it felt like before with my other kids when I worked day and night. Edited to remove your call sign for OPSEC reasons. PM any admin or mod with questions. - ghrit
You know of that old saying " when they were passing out brains thought they said trains and let it go by" I will do my best though!
I don't know all the rules here yet, but I don't understand removing my amateur radio call sign because anyone can see it on QRZ?
Anyone can find you if they know to look up your call on QRZ. It isn't a rule, so to say, it's simply one more way to make it more difficult for someone to find you and give you fits. Without your call posted here, it's a bit more difficult for anyone to search you out for whatever reason they may have. We don't (yet) know how sensitive you are toward anonymity, so we take it as tho' you would prefer to be hard to find. Anyway, welcome aboard.
Welcome to our tree. Good group here. We like to share our experiences and some of it actually passes for knowledge! LOL Ham myself. General class. But like you, no HF rigs. Just a dual bander in the Jeep and a few old UHF commercial radios retuned down to under 450 meg.
It is easily identifiable as you. Most folks here, keep their id's private. However, @BTPost keeps a record of hams, (such as I) for contacting, shouldn the need arise. I suggested the removal of your call sign to protect your privacy.
Ok I understand, I thought maybe it was removed because I said I'm not active. My license is active but I chose not to be for now for my little girl. Anyway I understand now and say thank you.
