The wife received an electric pressure cooker for the 11th anniversary of her 29th birthday and we are using it for the first time today. Back ribs (not baby back) in BBQ sauce. The dry rub smelled awesome and while I know this thread is worthless without pics...I didn't want to post any until I had a finished product. Amazing that they should be done in after only 30 minutes of cooking...
Dark Light will not be back to visit us for awhile. He just gave away his OLD LADY's age online. If he survives, and when he gets out of the hospital, maybe we can find out happened with the 30 minute pressure cooker ribs.
HA. It's all good. I forgot to take pictures though. They turned out pretty good and we're very tender. Some of the ribs were a little ticket than the others do i think either a few more minutes in the pot or a couple minutes under the broiler would have been good. Not a huge fan of the recipe but it certainly wasn't bad and so much easier than the other ways we've done ribs in the past. Next we're going to try some canning.
We cook dinner all the time with ours! 3 cups of water a whole frozen rabbit, 50 minute in the cooker and "Blamo!!" meat falls of the bone and its ready for stir fry. If you over cook it it falls apart when your removing it, so watch out for bones. The wife just bought a Ball Cookbook on line for canning, I would be willing to bet there is a recipe book for pressure cookers too! I love that thing though, and as long as you let it cool off properly before opening they are safe, Most have Idiot proof safety on them, but that is no guarantee.
