The INDIAN SCOUT is now mine. No pics yet because it will not be delivered to my home until April 15 (TAX DAY) 2015.

Indian has a required break in routine. You ignore it and you void the warranty.

No way could I ride it home and not exceed the break in routine. So it will be coming home as a courtesy by the dealership.

Yet another reason to live rural!

Basic, Box Stock Indian Red. Road bars later, they are now back ordered!!!

My Veteran allowance of $500 by Indian netted me the Road Bars, an Oil Change kit and a couple of "T" shirts.

    Good grief.
    I had to read this.

    I hate you.
Do you have any idea of the tizzy you've thrown my household into ?
    I must have one !

I used to ride a long time ago, even rode across the country when I got out of the Navy. At least I just got clearance to re-acquire my motorcycle license. After that its just a matter of convincing and conniving the Mrs. [tongue]
Anybody interested in a slightly used left nut ? biglaff

    You lucky bastid you. [coo]

I have kept my MC Endorsement on my DL since I was 16 years Old..... Took my Original Drivers Test on an Old Vespa MotorScooter, with the Examiner following behind, using a BullHorn, to give me directions. I took the Vehicle Drivers Test when I was 17, to upgrade my DL from MC Only... I would still ride, but if I ever had to lay one down, at anything over 2 MPH, I likely would NOT recover from the crash.

At 12 I took my Original Drivers Test, passed it for my "under 5Hp" endorsement with an old "Cushman Box Delivery.
Took the next step at 14 for a "under 8hp" with a Cushman Eagle.
The first one did not have front brakes the Eagle had front brakes.

At 16 I passed the "Vehicle Drivers Test" in my Ford Club Coupe that I rebuilt after a "Rich Kid" blew the engine and his Mom said she'd not pay to have it repaired..

Along with the Ford I had this. A Honda 305 Super Hawk. Harley owners seemed to dislike them but they could not out run them, for the short race and they did not leak oil. Purchased one used, checked it out, got on it and rode 1400 miles back to my command.
Sold the Honda so I could buy this Royal Enfield/Indian. A 700 Twin.
Had a transfer to a School Command, Knew the Bike would not be welcome at that location and impossible to get on the base, so I sold it and kept yet another car, the Ford was long gone by then.

Never had a MC endorsement until I hit Hawaii, all states were a bit different and my license at a young age was only because I used the scooter for an early morning paper route and an afternoon job. .

I took the MC endorsement on my Triumph Bonneville, in Hawaii and have had the MC endorsement every since.
    I traded the Bonnie for a 1970 Honda 750,

It finally warmed up here, in the 60's anyway. I spent much of the getting my Camaro out of storage and mostly help my son get the motor out of his. But I did get a ride. Fun.

I am so old you did not need a MC endorsement then. I am not sure but I think I passed the test with a 70's Goldwing. I have looked at those Indians. Nice Bikes.

Had to give up my beloved FLHS a few years ago due to vertigo and "truck driver"leg muscles. Stood it about a year and with the CJ gone also had to DO something. Built my redneck trike from a ZUK Marauder front half and a VW dune buggy back half. New battery and a Weber carb rebuild this week.Yep it's springtime here in centex. A friend has one of the earlier ('02)Scouts and once the electronics were straightened out he loves it. The new Indians don't have the electrical problems that were present with the first reincarnations.

The pics here are a part of what I have enjoyed.

I have added to them to include other bikes I have owned.

I have a few oldies that are in a slow recovery what with my other responsibilities around the place.
A 350 Single Duck, non desmo, a 305 Super Hawk, and the old 750 Honda is still with me but now needs a ground up rebuild.

A few years back I came across a Factory 305 Honda kit to convert the transmission to a 5 speed. May just sell it since I have rebuilt that engine/transmission and see no reason to pull it down.

Motorcycles, a way of life leading to death.

I beat the Grim reaper's attack on me with health problems in 2000 but I lost/sold the Harley an AMF XLH Sportser.

Not a bad handling Bike when I changed it from it's stock DRAG Bike suspension to more in the way of a Road bike.

None of these pictures include the AFM (West Coast) or the AMC (Eastern Race Clubs) Road Race Bikes I have owned.

I started on a Duc too. A 250 Diana MK III. That was pre Desmo as well. That was around 1966,

Mine is pretty complete, carb is wrong but it was stored inside and sold at auction to a friend from whom I purchased it.

Fact is, it is a Spanish Model known as the Mototrans. Just an exact copy, even used the Italian castings for the engine.
I've changed it from points to electronic and I need to see why some one else had the "Bevel Head" apart.

Parts are available from various parts of the world. Seat is still good and the only thing I'm missing is the correct License Plate Bracket and the AC to DC module, NIB they are available in the USA.
