    Better to beat the Perp into submission, than end his Days, Permanently..... However Live Perps can get a HotShot LawDog and sue the s**t out of the LEO, Department, and Muni, where a Dead Perp, can't sue ANYONE, and the Relatives are more likely to settle,CHEAP....

    Not much in the way of excuses that can be used here....getting caught on camera picking up the taser and moving it closer to the body is just a bonus for the prosecution. No danger to officer, no reasonable excuse for not chasing him down...just got pissed and shot him....8 times in the back...on camera.

    The south Carolina officer needs to be tried for murder, and if convicted then the death penalty should apply. There is no excuse for what happened, the poor man was executed. Shot in the back. The cop represents everything that is wrong with police.

    The cop has been fired, and is being charged with murder. Perp grabbed his tazzer in a struggle, but lost it at the feet of the officer. No excuse for eight shots instead of one, and no excuse for not running him down. That radio gives him several ways to stop a fleeing man, without using lethal force.

    Not to mention if he had temporarily escaped (cop had the car and knew who he was) from the crime of a busted tail light, there was no reasonable expectation that the public would have been endangered...which is the bottom line on fleeing suspects. Not really even an excuse for the first shot. Cop got mad and killed the dude...then tampered with the scene. I understand he is being charged with murder 1, as he should be. Had the passerby not taken the video, he probably would have gotten a suspension.

    Let's see...the "perp" (black guy) running away...cop (white guy) dumps 8 shots into his back. We see a taser fall from the cop as he begins to draw his firearm, then casually walk up to the guy he shot, handcuff his lifeless corpse, and go back to pick up his taser -after which, he drops it next to the dead guy. Yeah. All caught on tape.

    His crime? Unpaid child support.

    OBEY OR DIE, SLAVES!

    2) He has been arrested and is still in jail as bond has been denied
    3) He has been charged with murder (mentioned above)
    4) South Carolina does have the death penalty and it is an option in this case (asked but not answered above)

    The PD did the right thing and they did it almost immediately (firing, arresting) and the DA got on it right the hell now (charging) and the Judge made the right call (no bond).

    Then the PD got stupid and starting trying to hedge on questions when asked if they are going to review all of his past cases, arrests and any complaints that may have gotten "lost". The best answer would have been "we cannot comment on this or any other case that may be related". Instead they are popping off with "we're waiting for more information" which is obviously CYA and thin blue line.

    If this were truly the republic our founders began, the police would not exist, and if some semblance did -they certainly would not trump the rights of sovereign citizens, especially on their own land. But, that's the trick. Folks don't own property, they are slaves and slaves do as they are commanded or face the penalties.
