I think I like Spam, it's been a while, but how does it stack up to DAK Ham?

It's probably bee 50 years since I've had either.

As a kid I thought spam was something you added to everything.
Sandwiches, scrambled eggs, egg noodles and mushroom soup, mac and cheese, or just straight slab in the pan.

I never knew that. I actually checked and you can get a variety pack from Amazon. I thought it was only regular and low sodium. Why the Hormel people feel they need to mess with perfection, don't know. @nkawtg have you tried these new flavors? Does it really change the taste?

SPAM! isn't just food. It is also an economic indicator. When the economy is heading for the crapper, folks head for the stores to buy SPAM!.

    May - 2008
Spam's maker, Hormel Foods Corp., reported last week that it saw strong sales of Spam in the second quarter, helping push up its profits 14 percent. According to sales information coming from Hormel, provided by The Nielsen Co., Spam sales were up 10.6 percent in the 12-week period ending May 3, compared to last year. In the last 24 weeks, sales were up nearly 9 percent.

You see this reported again and again. I mean, it great for Hormel, but not so good for the rest of us....
