A cornucopia of fruits from tai chi students. Lemons, tangerines and figs. All fresh off the trees.

And turned into a beautiful evening during soccer practice.

Awright, hanzo, now I officially hate you. High here in the SE NM desert was 38. Overcast, snowed this morning, misty all day. And you got clear skies and sunshine?? At least you didn't post temp and humidity to torture us less fortunate souls more! LOL

Come on, @TXKajun, I wouldn't do that... Mainly because I don't even know what the temperature and humidity numbers are. ;)

Had an epic sushi Omakase tonight. No pictures since I was in a meeting.

Sounds like a winner... hope it was a productive meeting...
@Hanzo I seriously think I am getting to old and boring for those anymore... notice my appetite and capacity for epic meals is just not what it used to be... sad but true... just give me pho at Hao's place, a good burger or plate lunch anywhere and or CHEESECAKE!... I suppose Cold Stone ice cream would do in a pinch ;)

@Bear, my good friend. My OLD friend. ;) I have confidence in you. Put you in front of an Omakase and you will do it justice. Omakase doesn't have to be humongous to be epic. Tonight was a couple scallops per person and maybe a dozen or so pieces of sushi. And of course, ice cream.

Excuse me, did you say that was a light lunch? Interested to see a full meal. BTW- I could only identify about half the stuff in the picture.

BTW- I have been researching growing figs indoors. It is to cold for them outdoors but some people have success in containers.

Our fig tree is outside. But is in a pot.

I would pot it also. Do you get figs from it? Any crazy pollination things I would need to know prior to purchase? All the plants in the house are slowly turning into ones that we will get fruit or first aid from.

Yeah, we have some fruit. It is a fairly new plant for us. My student would give us figs from her trees, which my wife really likes. So she gave us a small plant. My student says her husband hangs weights on the branches so they don't grow high and it is easy to pick the fruit. Their fig trees don't grow much higher than six feet.

Wifee making our bulletproof coffee this morning. I don't get all the caffeine effects with this. I don't get the caffeine perkiness. But I get the appetite suppressant effect of caffeine. I good healthy breakfast and a big mug of the coffee and I can go until dinner without getting very hungry. I'll eat lunch anyway. But on the days that I skip, no problem.

We have to fight the birds here in SENM for our figs! We've tried wrapping, snakes (fake) in the branches, an owl figure and several other things. I need to sit outside with a bb gun or share with the birds.....but those evil critters are EVIL! We wrap the trees with bird wrap, but they sneak in anyways.

@TXKajun so they even get under the bird netting? How big are your trees?

What is that in the second picture? Is that a sword?

Yeah, a taiji jian (sword). I am the sword teacher and had to perform today. That's why I had my Chinese waiter shirt on.

I'm one of the charter members of a class that started in 2007 and we celebrated our anniversary today.

That has grown into many other classes offered by the instructors. We had 90 people at the party today.

    Good fun.

On a side note, I have been taking bioastin as a daily (except weekends) supplement. Funny that since soccer season started, an old knee injury flared up and has been swollen. My wife reminded me that we have glucosamine and chondroitin. So I started taking that a couple of days ago. Combination has helped reduce the swelling, although by evening, it is swollen again. One side effect I noticed, which I don't remember from before, is it makes my pee stink. I know, yuck!
