The key is, they want to tax it... or control it.... let them do neither through either omission or denial.. If the trend continues with leftist controls, clamp down on who knows about what you have and what you are using for heat.... nobody's business but your own!!

They make High Temp Paint, just for Stoves, and such... Good clear up to 3500F.... We use it on Diesel Exhaust Systems, and Wood Stoves, up here all the time....

Just received a letter for the "Home Owners" insurance stating that they would be unable to underwrite do to a wood burning stove on the property. Called on the matter, the stove in question is in a outbuilding over 60' from the main house, fire inspected and passed by local fire code. No new policy will cover fire that has started do to a wood burning appliances, even embers that go 60' to the house.
