hahahahahah yeah turkish imports but i think the people that make these were from another well reputable company either the machinery or the people that worked at the other facility. it has a few cycling problems but nothing too bad i like the short length and it feels solid except for the forearm…which like the mav 88 or all mosserbergs the wobble is seen here too but not side to side it moves up ad down which i think is very weird but it still feels solid soooo…. ill see when i shoot it i found a few reviews and one guy said after 200 shots the ring around the chamber broke or something. i don't plan on shooting more than 50 to 100 rounds through any of my guns there for hunting and the rare but always present danger of human attackers

 

well i basically took a shot in the dark (haha) since i have read a lot on the semi auto hatsans and their basically the same design I've asked my store retailer about them and she said they were selling very good (she usually dosent lie and gives honest answers) should i have gotten a rock island m5? for the same price? or a h r partner pump? or an old moss 500 for 150 from the gun store (only one for miles and miles)

ermm…no tools except a few screwdriver and hex keys for takin my 22 apart.that stoeger is $400 i could get 2 mav 88's for that

 

If you are planning on taking a shotgun on your grand adventure I strongly suggest you sell this one ASAP and pick up a mossy or an 870 combo. Firearms are like most everything else in life-cheap is as cheap does.. Remember this saying: Buy once, Cry once. Many counter guys are like any other salesman-their job is to get you to buy something. Often they neither care or know much about what they're selling. Looking cool don't mean jack shmit out in the bush. Time proven quality and skills DO.

not true my moms charter arms 38 crappy never failed have read almost none at all bad review about the maverick 88 which goes from 100 to 200 same with the hr pardner pump the hawk iac 982 the rock island m5 plenty of other low budget firearms I've read about that work FINE

I have a double barrel 12 ga. Over 100 years old and still in perfect working order. Yes, quality matters a hell of a lot. I would suggest a Mossberg 12ga. (Most popular shotgun ammo around) or a model 42savage. In 22lr/.410 or a model 24savage in 30-30/12ga. These are combination weapons, and can shoot a variety of ammos

 

yea looked into the 24 and 42 the earlier ones are WAY TOO expensive there more collectors pieces now and i have a mossberg 12 gauge like i said the maverick 88 is the economy version 100$ cheaper

 

i haven't spent more than 200 dollars on any of my guns and before tax 5 guns were 1000$

 

kind of got 6 with the 243 20 gauge combo

 

I learned to hunt carrying a savage model 24 in 22lr/.410. It is a well made and solidly accurate piece. It is a family favorite. There are very good reasons it is a cult classic.
As for the rest of the guns....I would take one quality piece, that does exactly what it should, reliably and accurately, over a dozen cheap disposable guns.

 

No, it is not a defensive weapon, but it is a fine pot filler. On the other hand the model #24 came in 30-30/12ga. As well, and that will do quite nicely for most things.
