VT, please verify this is what you require to feed you beasty. (Before you divert your delivery man. ) Confirmed on the shelf right now, 6 boxes of 20 rounds. The 20something boxes in the back have not been confirmed by eye, just what they tell me. Pics to follow. Once confirmed by you, this thread can be removed.
@kellory, those are a bit hot for my gun. They are loaded about 350fps hotter than the standard Remington 200gr rounds. They are designed for the lever guns in that caliber. This old 1906 doesn't like them. Recoil operated Semi Auto. The bolt gets shoved back with authority (like a jack booted thug) with these rounds. A bit harder than I'd like. This old girl (first year of manufacture) isn't going to play nice with these. My compadre found 2 boxes of 150gr remingtons so that will have to do for now. Thanks for keeping an eye out !
I didn't ask for any other type. Spell out what you need, and I will ask again, or you could pull the bullets, and reload to your specs.
I'm looking for: Remington product number R35R2 (200gr) or even in a pinch R35R1 (150gr) Winchester Super-X 200gr Federal PowerShok 200gr in .35 Remingon ... not to be confused with .350 Remington Magnum
Yeah, this was a bad year for that caliber. This is usually a season run of product, this year they skipped it. ARGH. Oh well, At least I've got some which is better than none .. and this isn't the main firearm.
Field and stream carries only the one type. However, I have a local brick and morter to check out by phone, tomorrow. He is reccomend by several places.
I have the same problem with my 375 Win. Did pretty well picking up partial boxes walking the local gun shows.
Update, and s bit of interesting knowledge.... The shortage appears to be nation wide. This ammo scrounger says he has checked every supplier contact he has (seemed to take it as a personal challenge when I told him he came highly recommended.) He even tracked down reloadable brass and came up empty. He says, you are correct, that no run of that type of ammo was run, to the best of his knowledge. So mom and pop shops may be your only chance. HE DID , however come up with an odd comment about 22lr (which he is flat out of). He says he is being extorted for .22lr (his words) by the suppliers!! He can not BUY 22lr, until he buys a minimum dollar amount of other ammos! Only then is he given the option to order any .22lr. Like some sort of bonus prize level. That sounds like dirty pool to me.
