My Dad passed away a couple years back, and I am still going through his 'stuff' - an accumulation of some fifty years in this house. Mom still lives here and I visit her a couple times a week. I take her shopping, to her medical appointments, etc.
I also keep going thru Dad's boathouse/garage building, and keep finding tidbits I can use. So far, I have gotten the good hand and power tools, his old E150 van (a parts vehicle now for a newer E150), his lead for fishing net weights (I am getting into bullet casting), his cast iron pans, and his electric meat grinders. I remembered he had started with a hand-cranked meat grinder, as back then I was helping work it. Whew...... forty pounds of meat through that thing is a workout! Now I have found it stashed in a forgotten cabinet with some other old stuff. So if I have a power outage situation, I can still grind some meat.

High Point 9mm carbine. Someone did a thread on one and I had to have one. :). Picked it up for $250.... And a Dern High Point .45 pistol fell into my truck for an extra $157. A nice stash pistol I suppose.... To bad I don't have any .45 ammo since that is not a common caliber for me... So I picked up 4 boxes to start. Also picked up a new soft case for carbine and 200.rounds of .22.

Also scored a Camp Chef duel burner propane camp stove on Black Friday for $79 which was $40 off :).

Got in the eight pound jug of W760 powder I ordered from MidwayUSA. My milsurp and hunting rifle calibers really like it, and it's been unavailable for quite some time. I had a "Notify me" on Midway since then.
Kellory, my local hunting season opens in late December. Had a weekend during Thanksgiving but other duties took precedence. Got the freezer emptied out and ready!
Going to do my own processing, from skinning/gutting all the way to the freezer, myself this year. Gotta get the details down, before the SHTF!

Dick's had boxes of 100 Winchester .45 on sale $39.95 bought 2 and had a $10 coupon for doing a survey and on the new receipt there was a link for the survey so I did one more and got another $10 coupon bought 200 more.
So I picked up 400 rounds of Winchester reloadable brass .45 for about $140.

Will do! I have already dealt with the meat after being quartered by a local guy, who did the skinning and gutting. Took awhile, but I have the gear to do so. Still need to get the spreader bar and hang in a good place here. May use the remains on the hunting lease to draw coyotes and pigs. [sawgunner]

Glad to help out a fellow hunter. PM me an address, and I'll send you my own design gambrel.
(It will not let you drop the meat while cutting.;)

My daughter decided she was going to try a food plan using the Nutri-system diet a couple of months ago.
Nutrisystem® Menu - Weight Loss Meal Plans
She received a box that was intended to last a month but after a meal or two she blew it off and went back to what she was doing before. The other day she brought it over and asked if I wanted to keep it... though it does not meet Primal whatsoever.

Anyways, another month of food went into storage.... with almost a year of shelf life remaining. Hey, food is food and this stuff is not "bad"... and free food is even better. ;)

Made our monthly(quickly becoming bi-monthly) Sam's/Dollar Store/Thrift Store run. Rounded up a few carts of the usual suspects for the pantry. While fuel prices are down we've been topping off the storage via 5/6 gal cans that we then dump into the storage tanks here. Maybe overboard but I prefer to do it this way, as it draws less attention than having a fuel truck show up. Placed good sized orders with Duluth Trading and Gurney's Seed. Not really prep related, but we also moved all the furniture and steam cleaned all the carpets. OH! And found out I have the winning bid on 3,000 lbs of once fired Mil brass:D[winkthumb][woot]
